They both play C no? I'm assuming Bedard would get Stankoven and Minten's PP1 minutes.
Stankoven is a RW that takes the RH faceoffs. Bankier & Minten have swapped at C for the 1st line this season.

in the completely unlikely event Bedard was traded to Kamloops, he likely would take over 1C with Stankoven, and Minten would be back at 2C with 1PP time. There's a chance they could stack it and make Bedard 1LW or 1C and put Minten on the line too though as they would be the clear best 3 F.

Voit now at 46 pts in 26 games and is on pace for 120 pts. Just insane production

Don't believe I've ever seen him play, unless it might have been in a prospects tournament.
How many, to use a baseball analogy, tools does he pocess?
Example: NHL Scout's Analysis: Inside the player evaluation process

Skating
Hockey IQ
Physicality
Offense
Defense

Undersized playmaking forward who plays the game at a high pace. Great vision and passing ability but will need to improve his overall quickness and add strength to take advantage of his offensive tools at the NHL level.

Being a one trick pony, example a great shot, isn't enough to make you a NHL player.

Physicality doesn't get its own category for most teams. It is usually lumped together with work ethic and defense (and sometimes even hockey intelligence), while offense is usually split up between shooting, passing, and sometimes puck handling/hands (it can sometimes be included with shooting/passing).

Fans care more about "physicality" than teams do... Physicality for most teams is an ability to be good in tight, either along the boards or in front of the net, and there are a lot of "non-physical" players who do well in that regard and a lot of "physical" players who suck in that regard.

Re Voit, I wouldn't say that I'm an expert by any means, but from the little I've seen I think he's got U21 Marner upside and role. 60 point ( no more than 15-20 goal) playmaking winger, getting by on hands/edgework/ vision tenacious but weak, and not a burner. I think he'll be that player in the N or the A, nothing in between (well maybe a little higher A numbers), and is much more likely to be a AAAA minor leaguer than a 60 point NHLer.

The classic boom or bust that we're supposedly riddled with

Not my suggestion, but it is this guys.

For over 16 years my NHL scouting career evolved from being a North American Amateur Scout with the Nashville Predators to an Assistant Head Scout with the Florida Panthers and eventually Director of Amateur Scouting with the Panthers. My responsibility as a Director of Scouting was to gather as much information as possible on players around the world for draft, trade, and free agent purposes.

I’m here to provide unbiased reports and visual analysis. I will do that through written and video content, as well as offering my own customized player cards, which you’ll see in mine and other related articles in the coming weeks and months. What will those cards offer? Here is a sample:

Could he be our Breyden Point?

In hockey, to make the NHL these days you need good to great skating and a high hockey IQ. He seems to fall into that category for both. Shifty skater that does a great job drawing defenders and opens up lanes for his team mates. Marner was doing the same thing in Junior. High end play maker with his assist totals and primary points carrying a team with no notable players.

Not sure about his defensive play. As far as I know, I don't think he's a physical player but both those things can be developed with time if he doesn't become a top 6 forward.

If I had to rate his skills:

Skating - 4.5/5
Shot - 2.5/5
Passing - 5/5
Hockey IQ - 5/5
Defense - 1.5-2/5
Puck Handling - 4.5/5

I'm not going to rate physicality because like Seaofblue said, physicality can mean something different to everyone.

Perhaps those who have been watching the OHL this year can chime in on if my assessment is correct?

I would drop his skating to 4/5
Shot upgrade to 3/5
Passing and IQ are probably correct
Defence is a little low. I would say 2.5 maybe even 3. He's not a bad defensive player.
Puck handling correct maybe downgrade to 4.
