All 3 seem to be pretty good prospects at this point. Beck and Kulich have more hype behind them but the results are pretty comparable.

Kulich playing in the highest level of competition which is something but overall, yea, all 3 have been quite strong.

I suppose the added benefit is we dumped Mrazek and got a comparable guy.

Would he have made the WJC team? His scoring rate since the Amur transfer says he should have been a lock
Russia would have skillful wings this year - Michkov, Yurov, Buchelnikov, Miroshnichenko, Chibrikov, Neuchev, Trikozov, Poltapov, Perevalov, Yarovoy, Petrov. But I think Grebyonkin would definitely have a place in the roster. Right now he's one of the best, IMO.

Can any one fill me / us in on Noel’s defensive structure and ability
Thx in advance
GLG

Not something I would consider NHL level right now. Skating too.

Good that he can at least be a good AHL offensive defenseman, but he is still a few years away from being a factor in the NHL and he is not someone I would rush to sign to an ELC right now.

I recall there was great criticism of his skating but it appears the Leafs/Marlies' Skill development coaches have improved that!
Thank you

Pretty crazy to see SDA leading our "Prospect" forwards in points. Always been a fan, but I know he's a prospect that had this board divided.

Guy deserves a call-up as much as anyone.

We needed a player who could make top 6 within 2 years, which could be our window. Minten is years away from being better than Kampf.

On the other side of this a lot of forwards have been producing pretty well this year:

CHL Guys
Ty Voit - 43 points in 25 games, leading all OHL players in points.
Fraser Minten - 9 goals 22 points in 14 games
Braeden Kressler - After struggling to produce in the O, has 12 goals 21 points in 16 games
Brandon Lisowsky - Above a PPG

AHL Guys
Semyon Der Arguchintsev - 18 points in 19 games
Joey Anderson - 18 points in 19 games
Alex Steeves - 17 points in 19 games

NCAA Guys
Ryan Tverberg - 10 goals 17 points in 17 NCAA Games, leading UCONN in goals and points
Matthew Knies - 9 goals 16 points in 16 games

Europeans
Nikita Grebenkin 8 points in 23 KHL games
Ovchinnikov producing in limited minutes.
Kara put himself back on the map at 18 points in 32 games.

Other
Pontus Holmberg/Nick Robertson proving they can be Nhl players.

I hope you realize the chances of any late 1st round/early 2nd round pick being capable of playing top 6 on a contender within 2 years of being drafted is pretty damn close to zero right? Like even in the absolute best outcome it doesn't happen lol

Then trade up and get him. We need one more impact top 6 who is cheap. I'm hoping it's Knies.I look at this prospect pool and we don't have a big defensive dman, we don't have a Tavares replacement and no number one goalie..yet. Hard to get when you dump high picks and get zero for your own rentals.

Trade into the top 10 to get an immediate impact from the draft? Sounds like a waste of resources to me. Even in the top 10 most players aren't top 6 players on a contender within 2 years.
Two late firsts. Liljegren and Sandin. Now top 4 dmen.Knies was a 2nd rounder and is close.

Liljegren was drafted 5 years ago and he is just now staking his place as a top 4 defensemen. The draft, especially when you are already a good team is about the long term viability of your team. Whether that be drafting well to add young ELC's or trading valuable players for more immediate help....you aren't going to draft a player and have them impact your roster in the near future. Just doesn't happen.
