He meant illegitimately.

Ok another note, how is Douglas looking? I know he started slow. Is he showing any potential of being our 4th line C any time soon?
He’s somehow looked mostly invisible in the games that I’ve seen. Though I haven’t seen the last few. 1 point in 12 games. It’s not looking good. They need to put him with some better players if they want him to develop more offensively, unless their timeline is longer term.

I'm very interested to see where Moldenhauer fits into Michigan's lineup next season. Could be a huge opportunity for him but I also hope he doesn't get buried by the mass talent that they have in that program.

Can anyone remind me please: did we use the Vancouver pick we got when trading Dermott to draft Moldenhauer?

I can never remember what we got for Dermott…. 😞

Leafs traded a 3rd to Vegas for a 3rd and a 5th and used those picks of Moldenhauer and Grebenkin. I'm not sure if the third that the Leafs sent to Vegas was for Dermott though. Could be.

I wonder if SDA will actually be considered for NHL games. He seems like he's not just a playmaker offensively anymore, and it seems like he's put in work at rounding out his game. It would be pretty great to see him make it

He is still pure offense, and he is getting most of his production on the PP. We need guys who can do stuff at ES.

We also need a center and I am not sure he is going to be one at the NHL level (he is already playing a fair bit on the wing in the AHL right now).

He should be considered, but he is not the first guy I think.

No I would take Steeves first then Anderson as a close 2nd. SDA is in the mix right after though

I was saying he actually legitimately said that and now should have to go on air and apologize

It appears the dispute is the word "legitimately".
I think the point is it wasn't legitimate, because it wasn't true.

Perhaps, "he literally said ...".

Some use figuratively and literally as interchangeable, but that is incorrect.
1. "I figuratively lose my mind when people go off on wordsmithing something for the sake of wordsmithing."
2. "I literally lose my mind when people go off on wordsmithing something for the sake of wordsmithing."

Number 2 above is not correct.

From Oxford Languages:
Legitimately
  1. 1.
in a way that conforms to the law or to rules.
"they can prove that the funds were acquired legitimately"

  2. 2.
in a way that can be defended with logic or justification; fairly.
"nobody can legitimately argue that he didn't pay his dues"

Now back to your previously schedule debates ...

I see... I'm sorry that I misunderstood you. You're right... Hayes should apologize... but he won't. He'll do what all media loudmouths do... just stop sayings the things that have clearly proven to be false... and pretend that he never said those things in the first place.

Agreed. The guy admits he doesn't watch the Marlies but will hold a strong opinion on a prospect he knows nothing about. Same with Jeff. Just plain ignorance. I lost a lot of respect for those guys and don't really listen to them anymore because of it. If I'm going to listen to a sports talk show, I want the opinions of someone who is at least informed.

I know Steve Dangle and his crew are either loved or hated but at least they actually know wtf they're talking about when speaking on a subject. Except that time Steve called Robertson a D man lol

Voit was in a brief slump with only 3 points in his last 6 games, but he makes up for it with a 4 assist game today including on the OT winner

Also why is Clifford on the 2nd line for the 2nd straight game?

no worries!

wish there was someway to hold them accountable like continuously call into their stations demanding that it be addressed
