SDA/abramov didn't get that 4th line treatment the whole season though, because we lost brooks and amadio on waivers who would have been top 6 centres, and semyonov left after like a month, so the two rookies were forced into the deep end, playing top 6 minutes before they were ready.

there was a bit of movement in the lineup later on when suomela came back and blandisi came in (and they tried seney at centre), but abramov spent a fair amount of time playing with top 6 guys. hopefully it was just an adjustment year and we see him pop off in his sophomore season. need daniel walcott to stop taking runs at him so he can stay healthy, though lol.

He spent about 3/4 of the season in the bottom 6 with most of these guys, including some of the guys who eventually worked their way up to the top 6 like McMann and Steeves.

Marlies win 2-1. Rifai with a goal. Douglas, Abramov and Villeneuve each with an assist.
Ferguson 24 saves.
Incredibly resilient effort by the Marlies. An inexperienced defence and a back to back.

Definitely some great performances from leafs prospects this year.

Here are some positives to get away from the leafs poor play this year:

-----

Ty Voit - Leading the OHL in assists and points with 6 goals 24 points in 12 games. He's got 9 more points than any teammate.

Nick Moldenhauer - Leading the USHL in goals and points with 10 goals, 16 points in 11 games. Off to a blazing start.

Fraser Minten - 10 points in 5 games. After being under a point per game last year, he has been dominant this year.

Braeden Kressler - Here's a guy who looked like a waste of an ELC. But wow he's been phenomenal this year. 6 goals 9 points in 4 games, while playi

Joey Anderson - Not really a prospect, but I gotta eat crow on this one as I was always underwhelmed with his play. @SeaOfBlue always stuck with him and I didn't see it. This year he's been off to a blazing start and deserves to be the first call up from the marlies. 7 games, 6 goals 9 points.

Alex Steeves - Off to another blazing start showing that last year was not a fluke. He's such a good skater.

Nikita Grebenkin - Another pick I wasn't big on. But he's been great since his loan. 3 points in 3 KHL games.

Keith Petruzelli - A guy we might need to move a contract to get him signed to an ELC. Has been fantastic for the marlies so far.

Dennis Hildeby, Vyacheslav Peksa, and Arthur Akhtyamov - All showing good numbers in their respective leagues.

Ryan Tverberg, Joe Miller, Brandon Lisowsky, and Matthew Knies all hovering around a ppg. Kral and Robertson holding their own through NHL action..
