With the Leafs series over and looking like there may be a couple of days off before the next starts.... What are the chances they give Woll a start for the Marlies, just to get some work in? 5%, 10%?

No it wasn't. The butt end of his stick struck the numbers on Holmberg's arm. That was some gamesmanship by Holmberg that worked in getting a penalty call. We could use a little of that against our 2nd round opponent.

100% — he’s putting his helmet right into the opposing player’s face. I’ve seen Holmberg do this at the NHL level as well and I remember Keefe talking about it as well. He likes to make opposing players uncomfortable and I think it’s a great quality.

Woll has to be 100% healthy in case of injury to Sammy.

I don’t think he’s going to play another game in the minors again.

It’s be 0 regardless but the Marlies Game 3 isn’t until Wednesday anyway, while will either be the day or day before the Leafs round 2 starts

Truly baffling that they've decided Pietroniro is a better lineup option than Kral/Hoefenmayer/Villeneuve.

Unless there's some subtle injury stuff going on, this almost implies that Kral won't get a QO and Hoefenmayer won't get an ELC (that was already the trend).

Kral played NHL games this year. This is so odd
Yep... seem to be writing them off.

Not surprised about Hoefenmayer if he is not providing offense.

Moore has had a special place in his heart for Pietroniro (a guy he used back in Chicago) even though he has sucked the entire year. Kral and Villeneuve are miles ahead of him. Now Kral may not be 100% (same could apply to Tverberg) and it wasn't like he was stellar when he was in the lineup himself... But he was better than Benn, Dahlstrom, and Pietroniro.

I get the impression that Moore wanted the most physical guys he could find outside of having two guys to run the PP (Hollowell and Niemela). Villeneuve is not soft, but he is also not super physical. Hoefenmayer has physicality but he is a bit of a liability in his own end and probably provides less special teams value.

Personally, I do not like that he is putting an ECHL caliber defenseman who should not be brought back into the fold next year over any kind of healthy Villeneuve, Kral, or even Kokkonen.

So essentially:

Pietroniro + Moore = Holl + Keefe?

I kid, I kid, and I will show myself out, but thanks for the insights....
