Marlies on the wrong end of a thumping, looks like they barely showed up with just 20 shots.

Take a look at the facility Amirov is training in, wow, that ain't no emergency room at a patheticly overrun Canadian hospital. Looks like the Taj Majal of Europe.

And of course, probably all expenses paid by Dubas and MLSE.

I have a lot of experience in what he is into. Full recovery, nothing else done except exquisite stuff I won't post on internet.

Tons and tons of time in a hyperbaric chamber, in fact with MLSE dough? The dressing room, shoiuld be hyperbaric for all of the players between periods.

The Leafs, for eons have been into the cold plunge, right from the Ballard era btw. I have seeen them in these big tubs.

Its cool I do it for a few weeks then I miss one day and yikes, I avoid it for a week, then another week, I mean its a brutal way to start the day, but, its incredible for your energy level, all day long. Wakes something up and its really good for inflammation.

Chcek it out.

And yeah the Leafs have been into this for, hmm, well since the eighties. Poor guys come off a long game and ushered into these ice baths. Seeing that first hand I said to myself, "these guys deserve every penny they make" lol.

Now we know why Auston was so grim after scoring number 50, he knew in about ten minutes he was going to be spending two minutes of torture in an ice bath lol.

But seeing Amirov in what appears to be a posh facility, I pray that facility knows about taking any cancer patient and drowning them in hyperbaric... If the guy is working out? Methinks they probably know what a few arouind the world know about squashing cancer. Looks to me, they probab;ly do.

So? Kid is still a prospect folks, and probably will come out of this even BETTER.

I was diagnosed with terminal cancer seven years ago. Told to get my affairs in order.

I searched the globe and gave money to every quack out there, till I met the "one".

I have him and another guy out of Edmonton now. Between the two of them, well, I feel like I have coffee with Tesla now. Every day.

Guy working out, and has brain cancer? I think ole Dubas the alchemist, has a lot of tricks up his sleeve.

When Amirov comes back better than ever? Dubas will have put another eagles feather into a pretty impressive war bonnet.

The lad is a pioneer and the dark side resents guys like that, a lot, take a look at our penalty draws...

Now you know why...

Quick question for those of you who have been able to catch a majority of games that Matthew Knies has played in...What type of impact would he have on the roster if he were to join here at the end of the season? Will he be strictly a fourth line guy or could he climb up in the lineup?

I don't see the Kreider comp, he was an athletic freak and elite skater from day one. Knies is more of a traditional PF who relies more on his size and small area skills than speed.

It was only really about that immediate playoffs impact as soon as he signed.

That's why I cut off the stats right there.

Knies would provide some nice size and skill boost in the lineup which would always be welcomed in the playoffs.

His size is important in those physical games because he can hold his own in that department and has the potential to make an impact

Well, never say die right? Nah, I am just going to sound a lot like an echo here. Something happened to this team... Hard to put a finger on a single catalyst, but, its a real serious team.

Definitely, the most exciting team to ever wear the blue and white. Very proud of them, I shave every second day, have my whole life. So I am not expressing my love that particular way.

But I am wearing a beautiful(if I say so lol) white toque with a great old time sixties crest on the front, and yeah, its legitimate, Larry and the gang got a piece of pie on it.

I just want to remind everyone, win or lose in the playoffs, this team has been a trip and a half to watch, and in my books, Dubas ain't going anywhere, unless he wants to.

Love ya Kyle, for what you have put together.

Cannot wait to see Knies, but you know better Dubie, bring him on, when he is ready.

Last thought. THere is no way, Rodion is NOT on hyperbaric imo. What brain cancer patient works out, and works out hard? None in North America.

You heard it here first, he is still very much a prospect, and he is going to astound, and yeah, get the big standing O, when he shows up.

Notes
Karpat is on the brink of elimination.

For those who asked about Rodion Amirov yesterday, he just posted another instagram story of him working out in the gym doing 1 legged squats with dumbbells.

I can't believe how much drive and perseverance this kid has. My motivation if dealt the same hand would be next to zero.

his instagram is @amirovrodya for those who don't follow him

The guy has the whole room to himself. And it looks a lot more pristine than my silly Goodlife gym. Medicine in Europe, if you have the money is 50 years ahead of North America. This Kid has BRAIN CANCER and is doing, one of the best exercises, and most strenuous exercises, imaginable.

Put him at the top of your prospect pool, Knies is a pro already in my mind. After listening to the Knies interview, this guy wants to Forsberg LeafNation from day one. And I have zero problem with a Forsberg stepping in.

Looks like he’s using 20 or 25 pounds, so he’s not going too heavy. I’m sure he’s lost some strength due to chemo but seeing him be active is a very good sign and a good story. Not even worried about him making the NHL, I just hope he’s able to extend his life at this point and live happy and cancer free. Him as a Maple Leaf is an after thought right now.

This is my favorite thread on all of HF Boards and all things Leafs.

One of the beat places (IMO) to get information and takes (right or wrong) on Leafs prospects. As long as you read this thread you'll never be surprised by a prospect coming out of nowhere.

RoniH is the good kinda greasy.
All that production in that little pt?
Playoff killer.

Maybe it's all my years of trauma being a Leaf fan, and how hyped I am that we have this kid, but that niggling in the back of my head isn't going to quiet down until we have this guy signed to his ELC.

I would be so dissappointed if he decides to pull a McBain, and he has other plans rather than signing with the Leafs.

Glad that Kyle is a master pitch man, and that Knies has such a strong affinity for Matthews, and the very real potential that he could be on the same line as the player that he looked up to.........

Fingers crossed. I think this kid is going to be a beauty, whenever he finds himself. Not this season, but stranger things have happened.......

Not worried about that. My impression is he really wants to be here and that's it's either now or next year.
