The fact that Rindell wasn't moved today indicates to me that he may end up getting signed by the Leafs, which is meh. Seems like a massive long shot, but the Leafs have had time for this type of D many times in the past.

If he moved over to NA upon signing, he'd likely just finish this year on an ATO and have his contract kick in next year. He shouldn't take up one of the few slots remaining for this season.

I think it is more of an indication that he is not a good prospect and nobody wants him.

Teams usually don't care/want offensive defenseman who can't defend, and especially don't want them if they can't put up offense either.

I wouldn't waste my time if I were the Leafs. Although if I were the Leafs, I would not have drafted him in the first place.

Petruzelli is my hope for goalie if future.

steeves. Robertson. Knies have good middle 6 potential.

Douglas could be a monster 4th liner

Niemela. Lilly. Sandin could be 3-5 d.

Lots of promise of young talent around a Matthews marner nylander rielly core.

Really only need a 2 c
Petruzelli does looks interesting. Has played well everywhere, good numbers (save 1st year university), big and he's 23 so he is close to the age where you want to try him. Next year might be a big year for him.

Douglas I hear just needs some skating work like any other big guy. How is his defence? He's a monster though.

I’ve watched about 10 Marlies games this year. I can’t speak enough about his defense. He is big and rangy and incredibly physical. He looks like a Brian Boyle who can fight”.

Looks good to me.
Steeves looks like a bozak (which is steak really)
Excited about petruzelli tools

To be honest. Seney seems like the best? When I watch him. At least the most noticeable.

Why didn't we keep Brazeau in the system longer? He looks to be having a good season with the Providence Bruins, and he's built like a truck (6'5, 245 lbs).

Not earth shattering numbers, but fairly good considering he was playing full-time in the ECHL not too long before. He is only signed one year to Providence, maybe we bring him back in the summer? He's from Ontario and I'm pretty sure he grew up a Leafs fan.

He was atrocious last year. Skating was not good at all (Douglas' still needs work too, but even his was significantly better than Brazeau's ever was), provided no defensive value, didn't produce in the AHL, and he wasn't even all that physical.

Whenever he played, it was pretty much just a liability waiting to cost us in some way.

Good for him figuring it out a bit in Providence, but I am not bringing him back. He is 24 and still a little bit away from turning into anything useful. Douglas is a much better project with size.

Niemela goal to break U20 scoring record! Turns 20 in 2 days too. He did it ladies and gents, and has been on fire tonight in the OZ and on PP.

10 goals 22 assists in 48 games will be the new record, still 1 more period to go though. ;)

Love it. Playoffs starting soon I imagine?

Pretty simple. He was terrible in all aspects and didn't do the one thing he was known for. Douglas ia progressing the way we expected Brazeau too

Yup I think it's the last day of the regular season. Karpat needs a win and some help to avoid the play in round. Kokkonen with Pelicans needs a point and help to just make the play in round. Hirvonen's team has already clinched a main round spot

Hmm. Selfishly wouldn't mind if a few of these teams bow out quick. Would love to see Niemela get some run with the Marlies.

Karpat and Pelicans would be underdogs in the main round if they make it there. Hirvonen's team could go far though.

Yup, quarter "qualifiers" are supposed to start March 24th I believe between 7th-10th and 8th-9th place teams and Karpat will be in this play in. First 6 placing teams already on to next round.

They have a 3 game series for this play in across 2 days. It actually looks like they have 2 games scheduled back to back at the same arena with no time in between. Puck drop is 2 hrs 15 mins apart on official Liiga website? Not sure if that's serious or not..

Didn't realize but Liga has changed the Wild card round this season. Before it was a best of 3 between 7 vs 10, and 8 vs 9. Now it's a best of 2 where if the teams are tied in points after the 2nd game, they play OT to decide the series winner. Rest of the rounds are still best of 7

I like to do this every once in a while for fun... my nhl draft has this guy in our slot so I checked him out. I realize we don't know where we'll finish or who they'll pick but like I say it's all for fun...He's rated anywhere from 21 to 53...Right handed defenceman 6'2" 174 lbs self-proclaimed 2 way defenceman with good hockey IQ...

Looks like I was off in the projections for today's games, but Karpat advanced to main round so quarter finals. Pelicans will be in the best of 2 wild card round.
