46 contracts now.

Back to a more manageable number. Still wish we could have moved a few more but I doubt we will need it now.

Ben Meyers, Nick Abruzzese, Jake Livingstone, and Matthew Knies... And I doubt we even get all of those guys.
Jake Livingstone would be a solid signing.

No one can be sure. The tournament starts this weekend and depending how the team does it could be as late as April 7, and that is only valid if the team signs him.
Is it just whispers or is it a foregone conclusion Knies is signing an ELC after this season?

Our forward roster is healthy and there's not even room for Robertson or Joey Anderson who've sort of "earned their stripes" on the Marlies and would, theoretically, be ahead of him on the depth chart, not to mention Blackwell who definitely will get a prolonged look

If Knies signs after his rookie season in college I'd be a little surprised, as it would be a good opportunity for him to dominate next year and come in and step right into the Leafs lineup after his sophomore year.

I don't think it is a foregone conclusion. Dubas said that he will meet with him and his parents, but has no problem with him staying in Minnesota

I don't like guys from the CCHA personally. Livingstone is a long shot, and I don't really care if we don't get him, but one of these days a Minnesota State defenseman will work out and Livingstone at least has size/physicality enough to maybe be a depth defenseman if nothing else.

I also considered Spencer Meier out of SCSU as well. Similar player to Livingstone and the same age. He may get an ELC from someone, but I think I would top him out as an AHL contract.

Ben Meyers is the cream of the crop though. He is the Steeves of this year's NCAA crop, and he will have a ton of suitors.

Getting Livingstone/Meyers would be a great coup.

I didn't watch a lot (or almost any) of Steeves last year in the NCAA. Obviously he has transitioned really well to the AHL. How does Ben Meyers rank this year vs how Steeves looked last year in NCAA?

Also if Nashville is buying out Phillipe Myers in the offseason, I would be ALL over that at league minimum.

Me too.

Kind of a strange lease to own situation with Myers. You'd think the Preds would have more time for a 6'5" RHD who was the centerpiece of the Ellis deal less than a year ago...
