Looks like the Marlies signed Hawyden Hawkey to a PTO with Woll being injured last night. Wonder why they didn't call up Petruzzelli instead?
Woll and Kallgren had been splitting time. No reason to not get Petruzzelli some more looks at the AHL level while Woll is out.Why bother when he will just be a backup to Kallgren? Petruzzelli should be getting starts in the ECHL.

He's looked really good. Maybe he's dealing with an injury as well.
If Jack McBain decides to go UFA, he would be a solid add to the centre depth of the prospect pool.Pretty happy overall with long term depth. Provided Campbell re signs.
Need a top 6 C long term. But
lw depth of
Amirov. Matthews marner
Robertson. Tavares. Nylander
Knies
Anderson. Steeves.
with a. Whole bunch of tweener possibilities is good.
Rielly
Sandin. Niemela
Lilly
is good depth. 1 more top defensive d would be ideal
campbell
Kalgren
Petro
Woll
Looks good. I think Campbell is a legit no 1
Petro has no 1 potential.
Other 2 could be backups.
Scott is wildcard

McBain seems like the kind of guy that could play 1C for the Marlies next year and get a call-up after Christmas. Big body. Toronto boy. From everything I've read, his skating has really come a long way this year too.in was literally just looking at his stats
IFFFFFFFFF
We got Mcbain and somehow Douglas turns into a 4th line C that would be incredible
I really don't think it is going to take much for Douglas to be an NHL caliber 4th line centre. 6'8 centre that has at least average skating and actually uses his size? If he can produce at a 30 point clip he will have an NHL career. Also agree with being all in on McBain.in was literally just looking at his stats

Which is still his issue. His straight line speed is completely fine, its his edge work and agility that you can see issues with in the AHL.hahaha I’m 6’7 and look skinny at 260 you wouldn’t want me on your beer league team
I just worry about the size and turning. But a 6 8 and mean. If he can play a defensive game that would be a massive advantage
He might actually leap to top C spot in the system, tight with Abramov. Though I’m no pro scout or anything. If Jack McBain decides to go UFA, he would be a solid add to the centre depth of the prospect pool.
Hattrick for Anderson. Another assist each for Kral and Steeves. On the heels of that post, Joey Anderson is making his case for a more permanent gig, proving that he’s got little to prove in the A.
Two goals so far today.
Kral probably saw Biega getting NHL games and knew he wasn't playing well enough.Hattrick for Anderson. Another assist each for Kral and Steeves.
After Kral's pre-season showing and last 10-15 Marlies games, he's trending fast towards being an NHLer. Potentially gets a look next season as he's now above .5PPG while playing in all-situations. Kral and Koster are our best D prospects outside of Niemela IMO.
Kokkonen belongs in that group as well. There is more to his offense than his stats show, and he's easily better than both defensively.Hattrick for Anderson. Another assist each for Kral and Steeves.

His progression has been stalling for years. He is a full tier below both Koster and Kral for me. The last point is also debatable.Kokkonen belongs in that group as well. There is more to his offense than his stats show, and he's easily better than both defensively.
