what expertise do you have to critic his shot

how many times have you seen him play live and on tv
My point is you have no idea about his shot
Your just blowing smoke

Jesus Christ, it's an opinion

I'm not a hockey player but I can still look at a player and evaluate his skills and tools, my opinion may mean **** but it's something we can discuss and debate on this board

Thats what this thread is all about

but it doesn't really make sense as an opinion. It would be like saying that Knies is a bit undersized and needs to work on bulking up. He has a great shot, it's one of his strengths

Just as a general point in life, we may get a better return on investment from working on our strengths than our weaknesses. I would guess any D + 1 draftee could “work on” all kinds of things.

Projecting forward to next year, thinking only about signed guys:
Steeves, Nick Rob, Holmberg and JoeyA should be in the mix for open jobs (3-4 considering signed players, excluding RFA’s). Abramov and Amirov later in the year, maybe; SDA and Gogolev….maybe, but further away.
Malgin and Abruzzese are possible signs. (maybe Kase and Engvall with their restricted status)
Liking the variety of young options auditioning. Before considering free agency, and the college/Europe FA route.

And isn't he telling everyone this........

...............based on HIS opinion?

The irony is thick here.

shouldnt opinions be at least a little fact based

should you just be allowed to post whatever and no one should question how or what facts you used to form this opinion

You say watching prospects in person gives a special insight that can't be gained by watching the same footage through a camera. To prove this, you contribute 8 words of your own that couldn't be more vague if you tried all while calling other people's opinions low quality based not on the content of the words but the identity of the poster. That's a shell game.

If they could convince McBain and/or Meyers to join this team, it would be like adding two high draft picks. Would be great considering the lack of picks made last season and this draft coming.
Absolutely good potential adds with good opportunities on the third and maybe even second line.
Gotta remind too, that the pick ‘deficit’ doesn’t really *hit* until this year. The team did make 11 selections in ‘20.

Tough to see the Americans out of the Olympics. I was really enjoying watching Knies and Abruzzese

Knies: 1G + 1A, 2Pts
Abruzzese: 1G + 4A, 5Pts

I've seen a bunch of tweets saying Abruzzese only had 4 pts, but on the score app shows 5pts, and from watching the games (less last nights QF game), it appears to me like he should have 5pts.

Nonetheless, strong showings from both of our buds. Wish it lasted longer. Promising futures for both of these guys

irony haha, everyone always says this but I see a lot of people liking this that always shit on people for their opinions and tear them down lmao.

He should have had a second assist in game 3. Why the IIHF didn’t award it, who knows, but he certainly assisted on that goal.
Yup that's how I saw it too. He forced the TO and it went off his skate before getting on Smith's tape. It's very clearly an assist, but oh well.

Still think he was one of the better US players. Thought he was consistent from game to game, and realistically could have had another 2-3 pts easily. Maybe more.

Didn't think he'd fair as well as he did with playing against seasoned professionals, but he looked great. Hopefully he can get signed as soon as the Harvard season wraps.

Ho Sang should be a better player than he is, but he's not
Skill and skating are there but it seems he can't put it together

He looked so confident with the puck against Sweden, but really doesn't amount to much offensively

That’s what I’ve seen all tournament. Very good skater, elite puck handling skills, but it doesn’t result in anything on the scoresheet. This was a big opportunity for him, and that pretty much should be a wrap on his NHL future.

Abruzezze needs an ELC asap! Would love to see him with the leafs or Marlies next year
