It's a sad day when Mrazek gives up 5 goals on 27 shots but was still the best player on your team by a wide margin...

It just looks like nobody knows where they need to be at any time. It's night and day between the Marlies and Leafs...

They don't know where to be... you watch them forechecking, and nobody is in the right spot. You watch many passes, just not accurate, like they aren't paying attention. It's just unfocused hockey.

Or unprepared. It doesn't look like they are lazy, or unskilled, or low IQ. It just looks like they don't know the systems, and that falls squarely on Moore and the coaching staff... And it is no coincidence that it was practically like a flipped switched as soon as Moore took over 2 years ago.

I hope Travis Green can take over the Marlies. I think it's a good spot for him. He's relatively a young coach still and plenty of playing experience. I think he can rebuild his profile like Eakins did in Anaheim.

Marlies don't have a bad record or anything but there's something off about that team and I can't help but think Moore is a problem.

They don't have a bad record because they have a really good team. Even with a terrible coach, a good team can still find ways to win enough to remain mediocre.

The reason we are not one of the best teams in the league right now, besides maybe some injuries and waiver claims on key guys, is Moore.

man the KHL has got to be the dumbest f***ing league on the planet.

1:08? ya that makes complete sense.

Get this f***ing guy over to the Marlies so that we don't have to waste time with wasting crucial development years. Same with Ovchinikov.

I get it, its Rodian's first game back off injury but 1:08? What is the point?

KHL is not a development league. They are big on their vets. They get based on performance

Dubas should bring up the kid and play in AHL

KHL will never really be a good development league imo. They seem to favour vets more and it seems they'll punish players who don't really plan to stay in the KHL long term and want to play in the NHL.

I wouldnt say they punish players; they just have common sense. Why develop a young player if you know he's gone at the end of the year? You give ice time and allocate resources to a player who can help you down the line. Any NHL team would do the same.

They sign a lot of these kids to like 2-3 year deals before they're 20. These kids have to stay for those years so why not play your best players who give you the best chance to win then. Can't have much common sense if they refuse to play better players because that player will probably leave in 2-3 years over a guy who is a career KHL player because he isn't good enough to play in the better league.

Regardless, whats the point of having someone in the lineup if you're only going to give them 1:08 of ice time? Colton Orr who was not an NHL level talent got more ice time than that.

Its not like Amirov is lacking in production or a train wreck defensively.

Amirov is easily one of the best 6 forwards on the team. Choosing not to play him is like the Leafs choosing not to play Tavares if he was gonna walk in FA next season.

Podkolzin had the same issue last year, but he was on a much better team so they could afford to play a NHL ready forward 5 minutes a game. Salvat [and to a lesser extent] Sibir don't have the same luxury, so playing guys like Amirov and Ovchinnikov a minute a game makes less than 0 sense if they want to win games.

Really can't make a team like the Leafs who did something unprecedented (loaned him to Salavat even though he has an ELC) happy seeing a team do this to one of their star prospects.

Can the Leafs terminate the loan agreement?
