Knies/Niemela are definitely a lot closer to Robby/Amirov then I thought
They're all in the same tier tbh.Knies/Niemela are definitely a lot closer to Robby/Amirov then I thought
I am very high on Kokkonen. I see him having a similar career to Gunnersson/Hainsey. Likely somewhere in the middle. Better than Gunner, but clearly not prime Hainsey. More like the Hainsey here and in Pittsburgh. But I value defense by committee rather than 1-3 pairings. When we had a God awful 4th line, I was trying to float an idea around that the leafs should use 4 defense pairings and play them around 15 minutes each a night, and use only 10 forwards. It doesn't make any sense now, but at the time, the 4th line was that bad.Maybe on the bottom pairing, but I doubt either become top pairing defensemen.

i swear he's got a highlight every game
Hirvonen,Neimela and Knies are pretty much locks for their respective teams. I think the only other prospect with a chance is Tverberg with Canada and he is likely a long shot.Do we know yet which prospects will be playing in the WJHC?

Yup. Last year was Robertsons last shot at it and Amirov is a late birthday.Thanks.
Robertson and Amirov are too old?

These are clearly the top 4, after that it is way to hard to agree on where everyone else should be. The next group would probably be, Tverberg, Holmberg, Hirvonen, Abruzzese, and Steeves. My next grouping would basically be all of the defensemen minus Duszak, Hollowell, Loponen. If we're counting Sandin and Liljegren as graduated
1. Niemela
2. Knies
3. Amirov
4. Robertson
Hope Petruzelli gets the start today.
They have to get Mrazek reestablished this year, since it seems inevitable they'll need to move out his contract in the off-season, and will hope to get some return when they do.Mrazek.
Looks like Miettinen picked up an assist last night.
Marlies are sloppy and undisciplined at times. Just plenty of mistakes, that shouldn't happen. Man, we need a new coach.
