At the moment, he's really our only D prospect (keep up the good work Chadwick) on a blueline that sorely needs something coming through.

He just needs to get stronger and more defensively responsible. But he's been pretty good as a rookie in the AHL. Everytime I see him he's doing good stuff.

Kessel for nothing, Rask for raysoft, Courtnall for Kordic, Kurvers for Niedermayer, Steen for zip, stralman thrown away, have Logan couture it's endless. The Leafs (NHL) insiders were always intentionally throwing away talent. There is a good reason they never win.

Actually watched a Saskatoon game the other night and they look good collectively- this is a good spot for him to land good pace

They paid a lot for him. Doubt they will bury him down the lineup.

Glad they made the move this early. Meaningful games for the rest of the season and a strong team but without depth at center to block his opportunity. This should be a great landing spot for him

I'd pump the breaks - fans from Karpat weren't too big on Niemela and was often a scapegoat for some of the goals against on ice

He's not an A prospect by any means - but let's see what time does for him

He can play. Getting regular top 6 minutes and voted to the all star game. Very fast straight line skater. A middle 6 energy guy is probably a realistic outcome.

Grebenkin is a killer. That is the 3rd or 4th fight video I've seen him in and he does pretty well in them.
