Minten with another pretty good game tonight.

His speed has been good, he's making smart plays with the puck, taking the body when necessary and his overall hockey sense looks very good.

Very encouraged by his play in the rookie tournament and early training camp.

Hopefully he has a big year... I assuming he's WJC eligible still?

Yep. Will be interesting with both him and Cowan being potential options for the team.
Their tenacity in preseason should give Team Canada something to think about since the competition should be higher than playing junior. At the very least the management team should be paying a lot of attention to them leading into the tournament.

Feels like 2/3 of a good 4th line to me. Both guys seem like the type that coaches love.

Watching noah chadwick during the 2nd period. They’re using him on one of the pp units on his off side.

He just allowed a SH goal. Teammate gave him a bad pass, two guys double him and chadwick tries to stick handle the ouck while an opposing player strips him and then creates a breakaway. Feet quickness looks suspicious.

Looks comfortable but not fluid at handling the puck. Could pan out as a decent transition player.

He looks solid. He and Knies have some nice chemistry as well.

I like what I've seen from Knies, Robertson, Minten thus far. Knies, Robertson, Cowan are top 6 guys. Minten looks like a bottom 6 guy to me.

Moldenhauer is the next guy coming up. H

One of those players isn't like the others with regards to toolboxes. Not sure skating and shooting is enough to keep you in the NHL?

Doesn't look like any of our Russian prospects (forwards) are off to a good start this year. Unless you count SDA. Not sure how many of them are considered prospects at this point.

Unless my memory is failing me we have no forward prospect of significance in Russia besides Grebyonkin.

As for Grebyonkin, a bit of a slow start but if he can continue to be a regular getting decent minutes and put up ~15 goals (currently paceing for 17) playing on a team like Mettalurg as a 20YO, that's a very good year.

That's basically showing he's capable of being a legitimate NHLer next season.
