The Marlies have not signed Lisowsky last time I checked - any news if we are keeping him around for Cincinnati or completely cutting him loose?

Sending him back for an overage season essentially and maybe will get an AHL contract.

Skating and weight. Even with his shoulder injury he could have found a way to put on lower body mass. To have only put on NINE POUNDS since being drafted THREE years ago is inexcusable.

Perhaps, or perhaps it just isn't going to happen.

In the military, I'd do the same training, eat the same food and put on no weight where others easily added muscle ... fricking annoying at the time, but maybe not so much 40 years later ...

Yeah, eat this, eat that, drink this drink that ... nothing. Maybe they were on "supplements"?

I understand where you're coming from but that's not exactlyyyy the way it works. Definitely, some put on weight way easier with the same food. But for those who struggle to put on weight they simply have to eat more and more. Trust me.

It is a matter of just not eating enough. I went through the same thing, got myself up to 190 but felt like GARBAGE. Some people just aren't meant to be bigger.

But at the age of 33, it is finally catching up to me a bit. I am officially overeating my calories haha

Marlies season opener today at 4pm. Lotsa fun stuff to watch for.
How quick can Grebs adjust? I bet he’ll show some personality and be a fan fave in no time.
Will Quillan start putting up some points?
Is Tverberg healthy and ready to get back on track?
Will Kressler translate?
Will Steeves stack the score sheet enough to ever get a chance?
Will RoniH get back to being greasy and productive?
Is Akhtyamov gonna transition quickly?
Who among the interesting D corps will emerge?
It’s a deep team, looking forward to it.

I’m curious to see the line up. They might have a good team this year.

Rafai has joined the team, so maybe swap in for Miller. Quillan for Barbolini? Just thinking of swapping out non NHL contracts. Kressler may start on the outside but be rotated in. .

This was largely the last games roster, swapping those players in .. maybe something like this to start?

Abruzzese-Shaw-Nylander
Grebenkin-Blandisi-Steeves
Tverberg-Quillan-Hirvonen
Mastrosimone-Paré-Solow

Webber-Mattinen
Kokkonen-Villeneuve
Niemelä-Rafai

Akhtyamov
Murray (is he on the IR still?)

Marlies opening lineup:

Abruzzese - Shaw - Nylander
Hirvonen - Blandisi - Steeves
Grebenkin - Paré - Tverberg
Mastrosimone - Quillan - Solow

Rifai - Miller
Kokkonen - Mattinen
Webber - Niemelä

Murray
Akhtyamov

Murray starts. Miller gets the edge over Villeneuve. Miller/Rifai make for an interesting shutdown pair. Barbolini/Clifford/Kressler etc. extras.

*And as I say that, 1-0 San Diego lol

Can’t say I’m a fan of Miller over Villeneuve. I have been hopeful for Villeneuve turning into something since he was drafted. Seems to have a good head and flashed offensive skill in junior. Guess he just hasn’t shown enough. Too bad. Looks like he doesn’t have the trust of the coaching staff.
