No sure how you can call anyone Webster when your love affair with Kreider knows no bounds.
because my defense of Kreider is warranted and legit on the basis of his actual injury and you don't kick a man when he's down, esp one who has been such a hero to us, and taking into acct the injury is due to our having him exclusively take on burden of being in front of the net on the PP

zib has less than zero excuse, as opposed to CK, who has a reason

he is webster 2.0
and you are bucking for webster 2.0.a

Actually, you know what, let's not do that.
this guitar enthuisast knows it's better to love than hate...

tell 'em george

"Since the break" is a valid data point. Jan-apr is 4 months of play. If he continues his trajectory from since the break then he will end the season on a great note. What will your argument be then? Mika bad cause he played shit for 3 months? What about the other 4 months?

I give a shit and I hope majority of my fellow fans who want the team to succeed do to.

You have been on my back telling me it is to soon for my "daily victory laps" for almost 2 months now. When does daily victory laps turn into weekly or even monthly?
NO.
the justified critique which you still refuse to admit, but which is real whether you ignore it or not, is that his overall effort is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY subpar and his def sucks

That was before, is now, and is presumed to be going forward unless and until he himself demonstrates otherwise

There's an awful lot of assumption here, but to humor you, since the break he has 16 points in 21 games. That's after a huge hot streak to start off February. The team has 27 games left, so we're looking at another 20 points If he keeps up that current pace, which would give him 57 points for the season. Is this really something to celebrate?

Again, I've repeated it many times that I've accepted that moving forward I expect Zib to be a roller coaster of a player, a season full of many lulls mixed in with some high points. He's not the same attacking, aggressive player he once was & certainly not capable of carrying a team. I'm not sure he ever was, honestly. However as a fan of this team, yes I'm one of those too, my hope is he can retain a semblance of an NHL player in order to raise his interest & trade value around the league. It's nothing personal against him, I'm simply of the mind that he's not part of the solution here & not someone who'll ever be a key player on a Cup winner.
yes, concur

Just like you to move the goalposts, but please tell me what the advanced stats show that 8 even strength points in 21 games don't? How do the advanced stats quantify all the flubbed passes & poor puck handling, or the terrible decision making like passing up shot attempts in the slot or missing the net with his one timers? Even with his so called resurgence, he's still playing with a level of confidence that's one notch above shattered.

I'm going stop engaging with you on this because you're incapable of looking at the player objectively. I've told you numerous times that I respect yous passion for the guy, however it doesn't lead to positive, good faith back & forth discussions.
tell it like it is, let your conscience be your guide
underline shows I'm not the only one

You'd be better served to maybe take it down a nudge and call him among the group of the better players since the break. I don't see how he's been clearly better since the break than Panarin, Trocheck or Fox. Miller don't have offensive stats but his turnaround as part of Borgen - Miller pair has also been a factor. Zibanejad did improve more than these others just because his pre-break underperformance was deeper so if you want to call "the most improved" - you'd probably be right. (I'm sure you find a snarky remark to base your reply)
good pt
level of improvement needs to recognize any inching up needs to factor the depths of the abyss he has been in

And concur, not better than a number of guys

Bern's already had at least 6 or 7 standing 8-counts....
says the unobjective critic who disagrees on nearly every post I make, including water is wet..

@Siddi and @bernmeister cut out the personal BS, thanks.
fair 'nuf
will try harder to keep it to player review
howev, the other side is not above personal digs, so pls keep an eye out

I am not the one moving goalposts, you are. The stats have been posted by numerous posters who say the same thing I do, that Mika is the best player on the team since the break. I dont see you go after them?

@Siddi and @bernmeister cut out the personal BS, thanks.
Where is the personal BS from my side?

If this is how you read it. Eco gave a pretty unbiased reasonable assessment and got called out for no good reason. If you are calling this hate then so be it.
Eco also claimed that Kreider has been outperforming Zibanejad in the post season. Just because you like a poster doesnt mean he or she cant be called out when posting nonsense.

Nope I wasn't talking about last post-season.

Zibanejad definitely improved but there is no clear evidence that he's been unquestioned best player since the break. Eco expressed this view and of course you had to jump down his throat (and then mine too) because he dared not to call him the best. go check out that exchange
