If we are talking D+1 monsters then don't Nick Robertson us. He seems durable and there is no "if only he could just" attached to him. He will play somewhere.I hope he doesn't Robbie Scrhemp us

Isn't he a shrimp ?I wonder if the Leafs will sign Lisowsky to an ELC? I think he's got some good tools. It's not like we're flowing with talent on the Marlies and he has a bomb of a shot and good skill.
He's got tools but he's in his D+2 and is on pace for 77pts. Not sure it's worth a contract slot. For a guy known for his offensive qualities, his production isn't exactly encouraging and I don't think he will have the intangibles to be a future bottom 6er.I wonder if the Leafs will sign Lisowsky to an ELC? I guess you could say 50-50 but I would bet not. For his size I think he would need to be scoring more and will have to show some proof at the next level. Tre has signed a few College free agents and they were all players with size, as were his NHL signings. The only Junior signing that comes to mind is Glenn Gawdin who is 6'1. He did use a 1st on Pelletier so he is not totally hobbit averse but seems to prefer more beef when he can get it.I wonder if the Leafs will sign Lisowsky to an ELC? I think he's got some good tools. I’m wondering the same-good question.I wonder if the Leafs will sign Lisowsky to an ELC? I think he's got some good tools. It's not like we're flowing with talent on the Marlies and he has a bomb of a shot and good skill.
He was actually a higher scorer than Cowan when drafted. I imagine they were expecting a lot more production before he graduated. He does have a shot though so I think he can get there. It wouldn't be a wasted signing IMO but I don't expect it.He's got tools but he's in his D+2 and is on pace for 77pts. Not sure it's worth a contract slot. We're probably better off leaving slots open for college or euro FAs.

Not a lot of players due for ELC (just Lisowsky and the big D), only a couple guys eligible for waivers next year (Steeves and Abruzzese) and only Minten and Kressler coming in.
While he’s got the same size profile as about 3 other guys, the skill sets are all distinct. His progression has been steady but maybe underwhelming.
I guess I’d put odds at about 50/50? With hopes that other prospect avenues are pursued.
I feel like we could make better use of that contract slot in free agency. He signed yet?

Thanks Ulf.
Their Reserve list with expiration dates.
That’s a good looking season for a guy just about to turn 22.I feel like we could make better use of that contract slot in free agency. Like maybe this guy Danil Aimurzin Hockey Stats and Profile at hockeydb.com
That could make make some sense. He was a very late pick, no doubt because of his size, and he hasn't grown much or really improved his numbers. But he is the 3rd leading scorer on the best club in the WHL so the stats could very much be a product of the system there. Whether he is a real 5'9" or not you can't tell how strong he is. Developmentally going straight to the AHL might be the better move if hes physically ready for that level.I imagine Lisowsky would go back for an overage year next season, so him signing an ELC wouldn't have an impact on contract counts next year

I also figure the Leafs don’t have a lot of prospects due to the limited number of picks recently and coming up. So taking a chance on him may not be a bad gamble
It's interesting looking through the roster. For the non-roster players, it's unlikely we are going to lost many players next year. Cowan, Hirvonen, Abruzzesse, Voit, Kressler, Minten, Tverberg, Niemela, Chadwick, Kokkonen, Villeneuve, Rifai all have contracts that don't end until next year. Then we have Ellis, Steeves, Robertson, Lajoie as RFA's, so we are in control there... though I think only Steeves and Robertson deserve extensions, if we keep them both. Gambrell and Clifford are the only two Non-Roster UFA players we have.
So it seems likely, that we will really only have 4-6 contract spots, for whomever we want to sign...
When you look at the reserve list...
It's only these four that need signing though... Webber, Miettinen, Lisowsky and Koster. I'm pretty sure they'll try and sign Webber, Koster probably not... leaving just Miettinen and Lisowsky... plus and College or Euro free agents.
It's also sounding like Grebenkin/Grebyonkin isn't coming over next year now.
That's fine, but he does need to be signed by June 1st though I believe. So from a contract numbers perspective, I think it's this year.I think you have to look 2 years out though if Lisowsky goes back to junior
