Hyman has a very high Hockey IQ, that allows him to be more than his natural skill. That's really helped him succeed.
HIQ and work ethic.

Sure, it is true that the Leafs haven't officially made the playoffs, but it is likely that their regular season will be good enough to get them in to the Cup competition. This year isn't the time to go all in. We're nowhere near ready to compete for the cup. It's pretty evident when we play against the leagues top teams that this team just isn't ready. There's just too many holes in our current lineup. We're missing atleast 2 top 4 defensemen, a top 6 center (Tavares just isn't capable anymore), a top line winger (Knies isn't ready for top line duties) and our goalies haven't proven they're either capable of staying healthy or capable of carrying this team. I really hope Treliving sees this and decides to maybe just add some minor depth as opposed to mortgaging our futures, unless it's for players with term that will atleast fill some of the holes.
Grebeyonkin is for sure an NHLer. He is actually so good.
Edit: I think he’s legitimately the Leafs’ best prospect, which is incredible considering Cowan’s development.
Yet you keep making trade ideas that trade away all our assetsThis year isn't the time to go all in. We're nowhere near ready to compete for the cup. Maybe look at the last sentence in my post. The trade proposals I have made are for players with term that fit a need for this team.Yet you keep making trade ideas that trade away all our assets
Even for guys with term, you don't trade every asset we have.Maybe look at the last sentence in my post. The trade proposals I have made are for players with term that fit a need for this team.
I can just close my eyes and imagine Cowan on the LW with Matthews and Marner and that line absolutely destroying the league
Greb is a pretty sexy player with all kinds of skill and upside. Be great if he’s in the system for next year.
Adding him and Minten to the Marlies, maybe Lizowsky, with a healthy Voit…..would make em more fun to follow.
same. would be like the days of nylander mango and kappy with dermott, was fun times.I'd be going to a lot more Marlies games.
I don't mean to knock Minten, but I'd put more value in and would be less willing to trade Greb for a playoff push, than MintenGreb should be up there with other untouchable prospects IMO
I believe it is required that something/anything has to be sent.Has anyone figured out the rational for getting Slepets yet?

Ahh we can't get the retention without something. Didn't work out the three way.I believe it is required that something/anything has to be sent.
A throwaway.
Think Ulf is right. This was my thought process from the previous page..
Boosh goes to Carolina for 50% and Anaheim gets Slepets.
Carolina trades Boosh to Leafs at 50% for 6th rounder.
Leafs trade 3rd rounder to Anaheim for Slepets?
Ultimately it ends up looking like Boosh/Slepets for a 3rd and 6th?
