I think if you send 26 on his way, you probably see a better more consistent mark. Mark Josh were great when Blake was hurt... they still are, yes 55 has his defensive deficiencies but so does Nate and McD but dude really is our only top 9 center as it seems pld hurt lots

I think the disturbing part for me is Scheifele's team worst -14. All of the Jets supposed top forwards with the exception of PLD right now are minus players. There isn't a team in the league that wins consistently with their top player being a minus, nevermind -14.

Up to -18 now. And I just have to show this sadly ironic screen grab from the Jets site where his team "leading" stats are bracketed by a graphic of Chipman's poster boy and the phrase "fuelled by passion". The only passion 55 shows is for... never mind, not gonna go there.

I've decided to stop calling him ScheifMe because I don't think it does justice to the damage he causes. He will now be Shivale the Destroyer to me. Get rid of this guy or abandon all hope ye who enter here.

I say bench him for the rest of the season. Then in exit interviews, tell him not to bother showing up next season, unless he's willing to work his butt off. At the first sign of him slacking, he can sit out the rest of next season too.

if pld is dealt, and scheifele isn't re-signed you're left with what at top-6C? the UFA market is no-bueno and who is available in the trade market?

It’s unbelievable how 55 was one of our better players for the entire season and then he goes on a slide after the Florida game and nothing seems to go right for the team overall. I can only imagine what it’s gonna be like next year when we have lowry as our number one centre.

Ehlers, Nino and Perfetti too. With McGroarty and others on the way. I’d be looking for some C depth in returns for PLD and Scheif.

I’m fine with a career minus. He created our only goal today with his pass to PLD. He scored last game by going to the net. He leads the team in goals most seasons. You can win with 1 player who is a one way guy on a reasonable contract if the other 5 in your top 5 play two way games.

Before the all star game he has been very good. He led the team in points with assists post of the year and was one of the keys in our early success.

Before the all star game he has been very good. He led the team in points with assists post of the year and was one of the keys in our early success.

He played half a season and then decided to vanish like a ghost for the 2nd half, sounds pretty unimpressive to me. He is doing nothing during the most important part of the season with the playoffs on the line.
