55 is a selfish, lazy player with a low hockey IQ.I guess all I can really say is that I 100% disagree that he's pouting, especially about hurt feelings about d play or jealousy over PLD.

Well, he scored tonight so it's not his fault if the rest of the team sucked, right? I'm sure he will be celebrating with his usual posse.55 is a selfish, lazy player with a low hockey IQ.
Sorry bro-Scheif is statistically one of the worst (if not the worst) centre in the NHL. From the eye test, Perfetti is significantly more responsible than Scheif. That doesn’t say much.PerfettI isn’t even good enough to be a center at the WJC but he’s better than Scheifele? Clearly the problem wasnt his offense in that regard. C’mon bro…
I would have thought of him as a student of the game. I'd like to think he's become a Hawerchuk 2.0 where the prime is passing, but the skill level is still high. I'd still like to see him play the wing with Dubois and Connor before the end of the year, to see if the Jets can create a power line. One thing he deserves credit for this year is improving on the draw. Was strong late in the game tonight.55 is a selfish, lazy player with a low hockey IQ.
Don’t see why Scheif would interest Detroit, he doesn’t really fit their windowI made everyone happy and traded Scheif for a re-signed (60m over 8 years) Larkin and a 1st and then made me happy by trading Dillon and Schmidt.
KC PLD Svech
Perfetti Larkin Ehlers
Hark Stastny Wheeler
Gus Lowry Apples
(Reichel)
JMo x
Samberg Pionk
Heinola DD
(Stanimal Kovs)
Helle Comrie
x = whatever we get for Dillon and Schmidt plus KV and our 1st for a RHD to complement JMo.....so a 1st, two 2nds and a 4th plus KV.

The eye test of what exactly? Playing WING on the most sheltered spot on the team?Sorry bro-Scheif is statistically one of the worst (if not the worst) centre in the NHL. From the eye test, Perfetti is significantly more responsible than Scheif. That doesn’t say much.
What gave you the impression that he didn't play C because of lack of defensive play? Or lack of skill in general?PerfettI isn’t even good enough to be a center at the WJC but he’s better than Scheifele? Clearly the problem wasnt his offense in that regard. C’mon bro…
He wasn't as good as his U20 piers but he's better than NHL players......this is the argument that is being made. What gave you the impression that he didn't play C because of lack of defensive play? Or lack of skill in general?
The post you quoted was talking about defensive and positional play.He wasn't as good as his U20 piers but he's better than NHL players......this is the argument that is being made.
He's young, he has POTENTIAL but acting like he is his potential is nonsense.
He wasn't as good as his U20 piers but he's better than NHL players......this is the argument that is being made. Scheifele would destroy those kids at C.What gave you the impression that he didn't play C because of lack of defensive play? Or lack of skill in general?
And? His eye test of watching him play WING in the most sheltered spot on the team showed that he is better than Scheifele at C. But he wasnt as good as centres on a U20 team. Was it his offense that you think held him back? The post you quoted was talking about defensive and positional play.
This is like traditional prospect over-hype. Let's see Perfetti actually play some NHL C before anointing him better than scheifele. Heck, he hardly played C in the AHL this season as is.He wasn't as good as his U20 piers but he's better than NHL players......this is the argument that is being made. Scheifele would destroy those kids at C.

Dubois/Connor/whoever is a power line. There becomes a point where adding to a line where the parts added are just over saturating. With Dubois defense from last night I don't think that line needs another offense only player.I would have thought of him as a student of the game. I'd like to think he's become a Hawerchuk 2.0 where the prime is passing, but the skill level is still high. I think his size held him back. Do you think his defensive play held him back? And? What does he need size for? You think his size would hold him back at the WJC but not the NHL? I don't understand what you are getting at here.I think his size held him back. Do you think his defensive play held him back?
Team Canada often has so many natural centres on their roster, that they will move players to wing. Kirby Dach was playing centre in the NHL right before he went to the 20-21 WJC and then was moved to right wing for Team Canada. Often they don't pick who the best centre is but rather, what player can easily transition to play out of position. Perfetti's ability to play multiple positions because of high hockey IQ likely was the reason he didn't play centre. He was TC's best forward regardless of what position he played. He wasn't as good as his U20 piers but he's better than NHL players......this is the argument that is being made.

Same reason Stanley is seen as the Jets' #6 D-man, I'd assume. Some coaches just have a thing with size on some positions. Point's being the #1C on a cup winner two years running wasn't enough to convince some people that size may not be that crucial on the C position. What does he need size for?
Was it his offense that held him back from playing C?
Kirby Dach played as many games at center as he did the wing as he did goaltender.Team Canada often has so many natural centres on their roster, that they will move players to wing. That all being said, though he may be better than 55 one day, right now he is not as good as him, full stop.
Defensively he would put in a better effort, but overall he still has a ways to go to be as effective as Scheifele overall.
I agree Dubois didn't have a good game last night but he has been way better than Scheifele this season and it's not even close. Big fan of Scheifele but he has been absolutely horrible all season, especially for a guy that is supposed to be a #1 center. Is Perfetti better than Scheifele? No way but after watching Scheifele this season i really hope Perfetti becomes at least a #2 center because we are in big trouble if he doesn't.Dubois/Connor/whoever is a power line. There becomes a point where adding to a line where the parts added are just over saturating. With Dubois defense from last night I don't think that line needs another offense only player.
So you're resorting to blaming the coach. How can you be wrong with this logic. I guess no one can really prove that either way. You just feel like he can do something he hasn't been given a chance at. Just assume the coach has no idea what he's doing and just sets his line up according to a size chart.Same reason Stanley is seen as the Jets' #6 D-man, I'd assume. Some coaches just have a thing with size on some positions. Point's being the #1C on a cup winner two years running wasn't enough to convince some people that size may not be that crucial on the C position.
I don't know why you're asking me the same question I already answered, but refuse to answer my question. I think Perfetti was put on the wing is because of his size, not because of his defensive play. So no, as his offense and his size are not the same thing, I don't think his offense held him back from playing C. Do you think his defensive play was the reason he didn't play C in the WJC?
The question was whether Perfetti is better defensively and positionally than Scheifele. I haven't seen any evidence to the contrary.
Also, you know what position Point played at the WJC? Center.Same reason Stanley is seen as the Jets' #6 D-man, I'd assume. Some coaches just have a thing with size on some positions.
