Calgary beat VGK 6-0 last night and are up 4-1 on a back to back. If you don’t think they’re playing a park the bus, take up space and try to get opportunistic I don’t know what to tell you.

They defend the slot pretty well, scramble all the plays and you’d be hard pressed to list very many moments when the Big 4 are teeing it off clean. The only goal the Leafs scored is an example of how many layers of scrambled plays you need to complete tonight to get anything in. Calgary is playing a shell road game at home.

And parking the bus relies on your goalie standing on his head to win. Same with "trying to be opportunistic". You know that literally translates to "we know we are not good enough to get a lot of chances against this team, so let's hope we can convert the few ones we get". Sure, sometimes it works. Usually, it does not.

And I can tell you with 100% certainty, the coach does not prefer it. He will take the win, but he is not going to be happy about it at all because he knows that the next 10 times it happens, he will likely have a losing record in those games.

The nice thing about playoffs is that luck can get you pretty damn far. You get one lucky game in a series and that can be the difference between winning and losing. In the regular season, one lucky game doesn't make much of a difference.

The Flames Blue line has been filthy in the offensive zone tonight.

Tip your cap! They've gotten some lazers on night. We don't have a single D-man that would dream of shooting. They have 3 or 4 of them.

I feel like the chances Toronto gives up in tight checking games are always better than the opposing teams chances. Toronto is scrambling and firing at lanes full of players while they give up numerous odd man rushes with wide open lanes. They also seem to till struggle when the game gets physical. Sure we are 30-10 and you can't win them all, byt the way they lose looks familiar - just an observation.
