He needs a center who can actually somewhat keep up.

Saying that he also doesn't look great though. Definitely not the commanding force he was earlier in the season.

It has to be frustrating him to drag around that line, watching them fumble beautiful pass after beautiful pass.

Time to shake up that line. It's not working, and this team only works well with multiple dangerous lines.

Simmonds, Ritchie, Clifford ... this would be a completely different game

Their guys play that style, while playing regular minutes. That's a very different thing.

The question has been asked for years. It is not changing soon. Best to get used it. Better if we took advantage of the "rule".

I guarantee you in typical Leafs fashion some years from now we will build a team to take advantage of the rules and the league will move to a position where they actually call the game by the book.

Half of those were against NJ and Detroit. Two of them were comebacks in games were down and out
You can't build that habit. Especially against teams that has D and goalies like Calgary and most playoff teams
