What i find funny is if you look through other teams all around the nhl threads, a lot feel we got f***ed on at least 1 of the 3 goals called back. Now they don’t all agree on which ones were bad to call back but I think that speaks to how much the refs influenced the game and how shit the rules are fans that watch the sport as long as some of these fans posting here have can’t even tell.

Seems to be the worst one people take issue with though is the first one waved off. The one where the ref slipped and said good goal.

Bastian never stopped Murray from moving, you can see that by the fact Murray almost goes into a full split extending his pads, with no impeding happening. He was just slow to the puck and got beat clean.

One thing is for sure, more hate the leafs and and their base as a whole. Even pens fans who have no reason to have beef with either haha.

That loss leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I hate the leafs, don’t like losing to them especially with a depleted squad they got, getting goalied and more importantly having refs decide that game. 1 of the three goals should’ve counted.

And we have some idiot analysts acting like the leafs o find a way to grind one out and are this magic team doing so, and some think the leafs out played is.

Truth is we got jobbed by refs, got goalied a bit, and couldn’t finish.

A sloppy first bit them in the ass for the first time in over a month.

Time for a new streak. And next time we play those charmin soft bitch boys that had to run to the lockeroom to hide, and their two faced captain that f***ed the isles wants to take aim at the fans, we kill them and smoke them in all areas including the score board.

The only one I had a real tough time with was the second one. As far as I was concerned, that was incidental. Tatar never even hits Murray if Murray doesn't bump into him. He made the reasonable attempt to avoid him by not skating through him where he played the puck, I thought. They just happened to bump into each other while each was moving and Murray was the one that bumped into him. So to me, that was mostly just bad timing. That happens multiple times a game and the goalie doesn't get hit or knocked down. Bad timing. This is just entirely a judgment call and we ended up on the short end of that one.

The first one sucked, but I understood it from a "zero tolerance you bumped the goalie" sort of way. I've seen worse be allowed, so that stings a little (doesn't make letting that one through right), and I could make the argument that I thought Murry got re-set after the contact and at that juncture Nate did not impede his ability to make a save at all, but again, I get why this is called back.

The third one was a very clear no goal per the rules.

It just really sucked to go 0-2 on those first two even if one of them was the right call by the letter of the law.

At the end of the day we truly got the shit of the stick and f***ed over and over again. Big picture I'll take 16 of every 20. On pace for 64 wins! :devdance:

Seeing a Devils fan go on the leaf boards and telling leafs fans to "be patient with asshat devils fans giving them a hard time" is extremely frustrating especially after the crap being thrown at the ENTIRE devils fanbase on the mainboards by mostly Leafs fans.

And no I'm not going to name them, I gave enough "clues" for ya'll if you feel the need to find out.

I like Cappin Nico's response in the interview and it is very surprising that the Team didn't falter anytime during those three no goal calls. Having two of them recalled would cause most teams to collapse yet the Devils had three and still chugged along.

Wow, There are some leafs fans invading the Comment section of that video.

Similarly, let me tell you not all "assclown" posters represent all of us. Unfortunately having a bigger fanbase means a bigger "cesspool" of questionable people to say it politely. Also if you are going to the mainboards for validation on anything...I would say don't bother. What's that saying...don't argue with idiots they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with expertise

Gone are the days of insiders being here (they still lurk I can confirm) and people are talked with civility and at least somewhat reasoning. I still remember being here when Zajac, Elias, and Henrique were criminally underrated and the bust of Jacob Josefson ( I can't remember who I was arguing with at the time...I am sure if I look up in my twitter ill find him again lmao, if you are still here hope you are doing well bud)

You guys have an incredibly good team and I think the mentality you guys have on the ice seems great. Till next time folks

If I remember correctly he really went on a quite a tear in 2018 in the Swedish league. I remember wondering why he didn't play like that with the Devils.

Some people love being door mat apologists. It's pathetic.

I don't even know who that person is. I've never seen them in here in my life 😂

I think we're going to blow Washington out on Saturday, just like we did against Columbus.

It probably won't be THAT bad, but I think we'll win convincing over them.

And we will beat Buffalo. Their goalie is older than every poster on this board.
thanks for the flowers.

i know i look young, but i am also honest. so i am older than him.

NHL needs to fix their product.

I just got home from work and watched all three called-back goals and read all the NHL rulebook interpretations. All three goals were good goals according to the NHL rulebook. In fact, the second goal should have been, by all rights, both a goal and a two-minute diving minor on the Toronto goaltender.

I am not excusing the behavior of fans who threw debris on the ice, which is implicitly wrong. But I have also never seen a game with such horrendous officiating going in one direction, and this is inexcusable. Fans paid good money to see their team go for a record-breaking 14-game win-streak, and had the win streak literally taken away from them by almost insanely inexplicable goals being taken away from their team not once, not twice, but three times in a one-goal game, by a referee who hails from Toronto. It's inexcusable.

I'm more of an optimist than a critic, anyone who reads me knows this, but this was just as poorly officiated as any NHL game I've ever seen. I'm stunned.

I completely agree.

1st goal - Murray and Bastian's skates clicked incidentally. Bastian got out of the way, Murray split wide, the puck went in high off Bastian above Murray's outstretched pad. Good goal.

2nd goal - Murray left the crease to play the puck. Tatar was going around the net and when the puck went along the boards he made a wide turn to get in front. He has every right to that space. Murray dumbly was watching the puck he missed and bumped Tatar. HE bumped Tatar, whilst out of his net. Good goal.

3rd goal - Haula kicked the puck toward his stick distinctly AWAY from the net. That it pinballed twice shouldn't matter because it wasn't a kick at the goal. The rulebook writing is actually opaque here - to Chico's point if you kick it from behind the net and it pinballs that's also not a goal? IMO Good Goal.

Sure there are arguments on the other side but all three are legitimately arguable and to me the weight is toward good goal on all three. The ruling on the ice is part of the problem and that was poorly done by these noobs.
