Perfectly fine with how the fans reacted. With everything that was happening and the streak on the line after 10 years of shit the fans have every right to lose their minds over those calls. Even if replays were shown in the arena it wouldn’t have made a difference. I want our fans to go crazy show some emotion and actually create a home ice advantage. I don’t remember ever seeing a visiting team scurry away like the leafs did

This is where Lindy proves himself.

Come back strong against the Sabres and Caps, or I fear the wheels fall off the waggon fast. Momentum doesn't last forever, now it's time to go to work.

they just cratered Toronto in that game. They've only been "outplayed" technically one time in 20 games.

I don't think any wheels are falling off as long as they stay healthy.

First time they had to pull the goalie in like forever lmao, insane

According to @Gospel of Prospal those were all Leafs and or Rags fans throwing stuff on the ice because we have no fans. We good fam.

Yep. Keep playing well and the rest will take care of itself. I don't see any reason why losing this one game should make us suddenly start playing poorly. It would be one thing if we were getting lucky and winning games we don't deserve to win, but we've been playing well and winning games we deserved to win. Sometimes you lose a game you deserve to win, sometimes you win a game you deserved to lose, but play well and deserve to win... and you'll win more often then not. Just keep going.

Try not to play #29 too much (he’ll probably slip on a banana peel anyway after coming back, knowing him and be on IR all over again) and we’ll be fine.

If they give him too many pity starts it could hurt us.

I do think this run has solidified Vanecek as the starter in the staff’s eyes.

I like the fight in Vitek. Leafs player bumped him so he karate chopped him in the head with the blocker lmao

They had a VITEK logo on the video board to go along with the VITEK chants. Never seen that for any other goalie here that I remember. He's absolutely our #1 lol

Going back to this, why there isn't more transparency to just simply show the same angles the refs are looking at in the same time is ridiculous to me. The MLS and at Red Bulls games they will show the exact footage the ref is looking at when plays go to VAR.

the world cup has gone full on with it ...its all there ....tennis has been doing it for a while.

We've played some fantastic hockey and I'm proud of those last two periods but you have to be crisp from the get go.

Some really weak decisions in the d-zone in that first. They've been pretty good about defusing tension in the d-zone and breaking out safely but there was definitely a lack of urgency in that period.

The Giants do it as well. They put what the official is looking at in the booth on the board.

I think part of the issue with that for the Devils is the situation room reviewing all of the replay angles isn’t in the building, so it’s probably difficult to get it on the screen.

But at a minimum, I don’t understand why they can’t get the replays from the MSG feed up on the board in real time.

Id also love to get Tyce Thompson or even Nolan Foote up here for a few games. Not sure how thatd be made to work with guys who are eligible, but Im still down on the fact that Thompson lost his chance last year to injury. Id probably take Boqvist out for a few games; if it were possible.

I get to go to usually one or two games a year. Somehow, I go to the both the game the Taylor Hall point streak ends and the Devils win streak ends. Just my luck. Shouldn't have shown up tonight if that was any indication of my luck. My record for Devils games when I go is well below .500.

Anyways, that was one of the best atmospheres I have ever seen for a sporting event. Devils fans were absolutely rocking the whole game. Especially after that Dougie goal finally counted, the arena was absolutely erupting. I'm really so proud of this team. Took the entire world working against us to stop the win streak.

That beer scene also was one of the wildest things I have ever seen. Absolutely hilarious but the arena better make sure that never happens again (barring another 3 disallowed goals). I saw the first beer hit the ice and I just knew all hell was about to break loose. Seeing people with absolute cannons launch some from the 200s was wild.

Are they showing it inside the stadiums? I've been watching the games on TV so I know what you mean but can't say what they show in the stadiums. The Red Bulls show it inside the stadium when a play is being reviewed which is something the Devils have never done.

Transparency is something this league should absolutely strive for and that includes showing the fans in the building.

At least you got a good game. NJ dominated the final 2 periods and we deserved better. It is what it is. We win that game 8-9 times out of 10.
