I mean, throwing a heavy beer where it might hit another fan, a member of arena staff, a coach, or a player is not okay. It's just not. We can say that it's not.
It’s not cool at all. But disallow 3 goals in a close one all against the home team in a packed barn and that’s just what’s going to happen. I don’t care what building it is.

Oh, no argument. Given the circumstances it wasn't surprising. Especially since they didn't even bother to show replays in the building.

This is where Lindy proves himself.

Come back strong against the Sabres and Caps, or I fear the wheels fall off the waggon fast. Momentum doesn't last forever, now it's time to go to work.

Great run from the team.

It did take a night where it seemed like fate itself was against the Devils and even fate couldn’t stop the Devils from making it a squeaker at the end.

Not the Devils best night but this is why win streaks are so hard. It’s kind of impressive they only lost by 1 considering this was a B- game from the team.
Sometimes the team needs to lose. Help break some bad habits and get back to playing a full 60 mins. Honestly I'm not do much deflated over the loss. Just relieved in some way because it was going to end at some point. f*** man, what a ride and a shit ton of points in the bank baby!

I think this could be true. Now the team can actually put Holtz and Bahl back in the lineup, and I hope they both play our next game.

It is what it is, I'd rather a loud, rowdy, pissed off packed building than a half empty crowd who sits on their hands any day.

It's not like this is something that happens here on a routine basis.
Sure... but still, don't throw shit. You might hurt someone.

The first one sucked though and everyone knows it. That set the tone.
Yeah. I missed the first two periods and after review I still can't for the life of me understand why that one was called back. The contact clearly didn't hinder Murray's attempt to play the puck, it was unintentional, and it happened outside the crease. So ?????

Right not making excuses but, that would happen anywhere and that's certainly unfortunate.

If anything no replay kept the reaction from being even worse on the second one cause I didn't realize how much of a shitburger THAT was. All I saw was the actor in the Leafs net flopping to the ice and figured it was just an unfortunate break.

Tough loss the way it happened but they got after it and Im proud of them. Regroup and dont let the loss fester

Crazy how we only need a standings point per game through the next 62 games to make the playoffs. This was the jump I envisioned but not this high
Look if we have 20 more results like tonight it will have been one helluva season. With that said I felt like we'd never lose another game and then reality struck me in the ass! Get em' next time!;)

Was at the game, the energy in the building was the most insane I've ever experienced. If we could have tied the game by yelling we would have.

On the beer throwing, honestly it was very easy to understand. There is almost no video replay of reviews, they show it once halfway through the review and by the time you notice it's being shown it's over. Then they don't show it again. If you don't give the fans proof of the calls all you have is the emotion of having the goal taken away, THREE times. If there's a failure here, it's not showing more replays and explaining the calls.

I have to watch the replays now to form a better opinion of whether the refs got them wrong or not. Cause I sure didn't get that opportunity at the Rock.

Going back to this, why there isn't more transparency to just simply show the same angles the refs are looking at in the same time is ridiculous to me. The MLS and at Red Bulls games they will show the exact footage the ref is looking at when plays go to VAR.

I don’t know how many full beer cans were thrown.

It’s the wrong thing to do and really stupid as well, every one here presumably agrees with that obvious point, but it was done by a small portion of the crowd. Not much people there can even do. It happens.

And the chicken finger quote is a new all-time classic, not going to lie about that.

Throwing shit on the ice isn’t “just what’s going to happen”. You can scream, chant, boo, whatever. It wouldn’t even cross the mind of 90% of people to start throwing shit on the ice. We aren’t animals.

There are kids and older people in the crowd who can get seriously injured, nevermind the players and staff on the ice. It’s just classless and stupid.

The fact half of those beer cans were still half full also extended the delay of game that much longer to clean it off the ice than if they were just retrieving empty ones and also increases the likelihood someone gets splashed on the way down.
