The Aquilini's have been treating foreign workers, domestic workers and casual employees like 'shit' for years.

Why would Bruce Boudreau or Rachel Doerri be any different? They might as well be blueberry pickers.
Dave Nonis.

Mike Gillis.

Travis Green last year.

Trevor Linden.

Dare I say even Benning?

Its absolutely a thing. If you sign with the Canucks, you come out worse for it.

Rachel Doerrie

Bruce Boudreau

Everyone sent to our AHL affiliate between 2011 and 2021.

Pretty much everyone's reputation would have been better off not signing with this franchise.
There is a long list of people Aqua has shit ok but Dorrie seemed to have done herself in more than anything.

Who knows, but her accusation was that there was a toxic environment in the organization and from everything we've seen lately, there clear is.

Actually her accusation was that they discriminated her based on her disability…

I just have a disdain for people that latch on to bigger important movements and tries to bend it for personal gain and ends up hurting the movement itself.

Interesting Patrick Johnston article.

-Yeo was a management pick, not someone Boudreau asked for; he didn't have a say in any of his coaching staff
-the players are furious behind the scenes
-one league source said that any free agent would want at least 25% more than anywhere else (this is utterly preposterous)

i don't think this is that preposterous. the percentage is made up but the sentiment is accurate. agents aren't going to steer their clients to disaster scenarios. the canucks are going to miss out on players if their management group is perceived to be mismanaging the team

Quite a few players in the roster who could make 25% less and still not be worth their cap hits, so no surprises if there's an actual "Canucks tax" expected from upcoming free agents lol.

Media leaks Boudreau firing then casts blame for letting him earn his pay cheque until he'll ultimately be fired. If nothing was leaked nobody would be of the wiser. JR's press conference was too revealing had he said nothing there would be no story. Tanner Pearson who is a fringe 3rd liner may have his fringe career in jeopardy after being largely overpaid. Team is trash surprised people even care. Boudreau is a millionaire and his team has underperformed (if you believe the roster isn't garbage, which it Is)

I have little doubt this will hinder negotiations in the future but that number is a complete fabrication.

Which is exactly my point, which is that Emilie Castinguay’s job is partially to do with the movement of contracts to be able to maximize our cap flexibility.

On top of that, we couldn’t have afforded another million for Boeser by offering his QO without moving out a contract or not signing Mikeyhev.

I will again reiterate, the original comment was speaking to Emilie’s abhorrent work that she’s done so far, which I was defending. I’m not defending the management group as a whole.

I think this management group has done a terrible job at turning the roster over, has provided a lot of false hope, and has worn out their welcome here. Especially when it comes to how they’ve treated Bruce these last few weeks.
Is Castonguay part of management or not? In one sentence you are defending her, the very next paragraph you say this management group has done a terrible job. I find it hard to believe that one person in a group is doing excellent, while the group as a whole sucks. Her job is that separated and independent from the rest?

I don't understand why you spent so many pages trying to convince everybody that she's doing a good job. I don't even think you remember the original post anymore, go back and read again. It wasn't about her work, it was about the expectation of her influence on management based on her background in finance and education.

Honestly...
Leaks does not come out of nowhere.
There is an agenda...
But it also shows how much of a disarray the whole franchise is in...
When it cannot control the narrative.

I honestly hate how people always bring up the point that Boudreau is financially secure to justify this gong show.
That does not matter...
Because it is the process people have a problem with.
The smart move would have been to just fire the man when the leak happened...
Or just strongly deny it.
Instead...
The top brass awkwardly gives non-answers...
Which confirmed that it is indeed the plan...
And we get treated to a real time reenactment of a death row inmate who awaits his execution.
That is just some sadomasochistic foreplay that nobody needs or wants.

I apologize for the strong languages.
I am just disgusted by the whole thing...
And the fact that there is still a small minority on twitter and youtube who calls it a business decision.
