That's an awful lot of hockey to play though. 3 long, emotional, physical series, plus 2 days rest? Adrenaline will only take you so far.
Fatigue played a big part in our downfall a few years ago.

Sorry to say we aren't going to make it that far. Still predicting Kings in 2.

To compare #Rangers' 29-13-4 record over last 46 reg. season games: #Kings were 22-20-4, #Blackhawks 22-14-10 over the same span.
We should just listen to Kings/Hawks fans and just give up and hand them the cup. We'll miss two prime weeks of golfing if we don't.
I hope you guys realize that talking about regular season stats like records, whether is be in the last x games or vs either of these teams are completely meaningless. This is the playoffs, it is a completely different animal. Don't look like that desperate fan that is grasping at straws to make an argument. Let them believe this is a bad hockey team, it will be all the sweeter if the Rangers can pull it out.
The Isles board is funny, so many bitter and pissed folks over on Long Island![]()
On paper I would reluctantly have to agree that the Rangers could get crushed in the SCF.
After all the Rangers beat a bottom feeder in Philly. Piits- A club that staggered to beat the Blue Jackets and the strongest competition Montreal that became an also ran when Price went down. Is the backup a future star or did the Rangers make another rookie goalie look like a future hall of Famer? a struggling offense can do that. Time will tell.
Whoever wins the West had a much tougher trip. LA beat SJose, Anaheim, and is battling Chicago. Perhaps they are the miracle team? The Blackhawks beat the Blues, Wild, and now have to dispose of LA.
Both Western teams have balance and are recent Stanley cup champions. They have proven that they can win the big series. The Rangers still have more questions to answer. They have been a middling playoff team for years. They have outstanding goaltending but so does LA and Chicago.
In 2012 the Rangers lost the ECF to the Devils. The Rangers put up a valiant fight but fell short (fatigue or whatever). The current roster is an improved version.
On D Moore/Diaz + Klein over Bickel and MDZ and Emms. On offense we now have Nash, St Louis, Pulliot, mZA and D.Moore over Cally, Dubi, Anismov, Feds and prust.
I'm not even talking talking about maturation of some players (MCD, etc) who brought their game to a completely new level. So I see some hope in the current team. I still think a piece or two might be needed.
The question mark imo is whether the current team has bought into a system and is truly adept at playing the system that frustrates its opposition. As we have seen from various playoff series to date the competition looks fatigued by the end of the series. Will LA and Chicago look worn down or have we simply been seeing what we wish to see from the Rangers to date. That is, a solid defensive team effort against inferior competition (no Boston, no Montreal (with a starting goalie), no tampa (with a starting goalie). If so, I expect to see LA in six (unless their goalie goes down).
The Rangers might not have the most skilled team on paper but if they can prove that they play the game as a team better than anyone else then I will receive an unexpected treat. In the meantime I'm skeptical but hoping for the best.
I can hope. It's up to the Rangers to try .
But as Yoda said, "Try not. Do or do not. There is no try.
My post asking you what you said got deleted. I don't understand why? I just asked what you said to lose your avatar. Nothing wrong with finding out what type of comment is made and the punishment that ensues.
Yeah, naturally they're gonna be jealous. I do notice that a lot of other fans travel to the Ranger boards to allegedly post thoughtful things, but in my opinion they are hiding behind "courtesy" intending to incite a response.
Ok I think we need a reminder. If you break rules, you receive an infraction. It's that simple.
1) Flaming: Do not post any messages that harass, insult (name calling), belittle, threaten or mock other members. Debates are fine, but critique the opinion, not the person. Personal attacks are not permitted. Do not call other posters trolls. Do not use sweeping generalizations and plural pronouns to cloak personal attacks. For example if a poster(s) states that he thinks 'x' is a good idea, replying that "Anyone who supports 'x' is an idiot" is a personal attack. Do not start threads to call out and embarrass other members; or make posts about ignore lists.
2) Trolling: Do not make posts or threads with the sole purpose of starting a dispute. Note that a person disagreeing with your opinion is NOT trolling; please keep it civil, even if you're sure the other person is wrong. When visiting the team forums, please note that they are fan forums for that team and are here mainly for the enjoyment of that team's fans. Do not visit team forums to cheer against nor demean their team. In other words, if you want to cheer for the Habs and criticize the Bruins, do it on the Habs board. And if someone is doing the opposite on the Bruins board, don't start flaming them to defend the honor of your team. Either ignore it or respectfully disagree and move on. Wishing illness or injury on someone will almost always be regarded as trolling or offensive. We do not permit any forums to be used to demean/insult the fans of other teams. That is considered trolling. Copying posts from one HFBoard team forum to another for this purpose is considered trolling.
16) Playing the Role of Moderator: You're not a moderator so don't correct posters as if you were a moderator. If a thread or post violates the rules, use the "Report This Post" button rather than playing the parent.
17) Moderator Abuse (Attacking/Disobeying the moderators): If you disagree with something the moderators did, fine, disagree and let us know, but do it politely through PM or email ONLY. Complaining on the forums is not permitted. If your thread or post was moved/closed/removed there was a good reason for it. Do not start a new one. Attacking or flaming a moderator via PM is subject to a Moderator Abuse infraction. Be respectful and considerate. Profanity and abusive conduct isn't tolerated.
You cannot openly discuss mod actions.
If someone is coming here and breaking rules, simply report them, and it will be dealt with immediately.
Yeah, I figured that out from the last time I got an infraction.
But if I may ask, what is the rule on posters who appear to be acting courteously or having an "intelligent debate" when in fact it can be inferred they are trying to "troll" or elicit a response?

The main board is a **** show. It started when Kings fans flipped out after Rangers fans said that McDonagh was close to Doughty. Apparently Doughty >>>>>>>> McDonagh because he is at least equal to if not better than McDonagh defensively and blows him out of the water offensively, even though McDonagh outscored Doughty in the regular season and is only 3 pts behind him in playoff scoring.
Pretty much every thread there talking about the Rangers in the SCF is every other team's fans saying we have no chance, then Rangers fans sarcastically saying Kings in 2, which naturally devolves into bickering and name calling.
That's the main board for ya...
Either way I am fully convinced that West Coast fans do not watch Eastern games. I suppose it's not surprising since most East games start at 4pm out there. One guy said he had to google who Stralman was.
