Borje said, if we win, this series, we win the Cup.

What does he know, what do I know.....

IMO the answer to both those questions is "no more than anyone else on this board"

I see the attempt to post as if you are some ex-Leaf / insider, but I'm afraid I'm not buying it.

Marner traded. The KID, is blocking shots with his body.

When we win in game seven, I want, so many to go away.

SO, many to capitulate, so many to realize, that is why most investors lose all the time.

Leafs to win. All the way.

Salming, said, it even confused me, he wasn't paid to say it. Get by Monster ALL.

We win the CUP.

We get by these guys, we win the Cup.

No other team has a gang like MONTREAL. No Price. No Webber, no Corey Perry.

We win this game, we win the CUP.

Imagine, hearing 300, I was wrong's.

I cannot wait. I MYSELF, live on capitch.

Capitch babes, coming up on a platter for you ,.
Dafuq is this jibberish

Spent my whole life watching a leafs team that never had superstar talent.

Trading away 23yr old superstar talent would literally be the leafiest thing to ever leaf.
To me it all comes down to one thing - do you agree with how Dubas has built this team? I don’t. I just don’t see how having half your cap tied up in 2 centers and 2 wingers will lead you to the promised land. It forces you to nickel and dime your way to improving your other areas. You simply can’t build a serious Cup contender that way. And to those who say, but if the pandemic hadn’t happened which caused the flat cap blah blah blah. Well guess what, it happened and now we have to deal with it. Do you believe Dubas will trade Marner or Nylander (Matthews is our #1 center, trading *Tavares would definitely hinder us signing other top notch free agents) in order to improve our other needs such as a backup for Campbell and depth scoring?
*Signing Tavares was a mistake. It sped up the rebuild and we weren’t ready to take that next step (although I may have felt differently had it been a top 2 dman).
Concerning Marner, I was very pleased when we drafted him. I definitely don’t feel the same way about him after he signed for all that money. Big question- will he finally break through in the playoffs and be the same player he is in the regular season, or continue to shine in the regular season and be a disappearing act offensively in the playoffs? I believe our being a true Cup contender rests on how we handle this.

And watching 5-6 years worth of example of them producing far below their ability and standards while doing nothing about it would be what exactly? Would a full decade of them not producing to their potential when the games actually mean something change your view? What would it take? In the very worst case scenario, how many years would you watch this happen without doing something?

I’m both a hockey fan and a leaf fan. I appreciate the skill and excitement in meaningless games, but I want to win something at the time of year where all your opponents are giving max effort, every shift, every night. You want to watch a decade of them proving they fail to hit their potential when things matter.

One that doesn’t produce in the playoffs and makes 11million dollars a year teams hang onto them all the time I forgot Toronto is in this just to say they showed up not to win anything that’s a good way to do business lmao

I could only see Rielly being moved.
You mean the one that actually cares that’s it get rid of anything on the team that Wants to win I don’t know why people are so down on him he’s actually a good player he should’ve been the captain of the team please lay the blame where it belongs

I don't want to make a major trade, it's very hard to win deals when you're looking to dump a core piece unless you can find a team with similar core pieces who need to be moved.

But if we lose tonight I just don't see how we can come back again next year with the same core. These are great individual players, no doubt about it, they're some of the most talented players that have ever worn the jersey. But it would be completely insane to try and go back into the playoffs again with the exact same group. The defense has done their job, our goalie has been phenomenal, and the depth are scoring; it's the top line that hasn't gotten it done. Trading Marner would be a f***ing travesty, but might be the better choice than the utter insanity of expecting things to be different next year.

I'm not a basketball fan, but I do know that the Derozan trade was instrumental to the Raptors winning. We might need that.

MacKinnon managed to win his first round in year 6.

McDavid has won 1 round in his first 6.

Draisaitl 1 in 7 years.

Hedman 2 in 5yrs

Ovechkin 1 in 5yrs.

Our boys move ahead of all of them except for Hedman with a win tonight.

Maybe I should have just said depth rather than depth scoring.
Will we keep Foligno and Nash (I know Nash hasn’t scored, not sure if Foligno has any points)? What about Kerfoot? Can’t see us bringing Thornton back (and I wouldn’t want him unless it was to only play on the 4th line), maybe we do Simmonds. Will Bogosian be brought back and will he want to come back?

Well that’s what the vast majority of leafs fans want regardless. I’m just trying to present other options.
I would gladly drive Marner to the airport for a 7rh round pick

I’m gonna assume you meant 7th overall pick cause Marner for a 7th would be absolute highway robbery jayzus man you can be fed up with a lack of production but don’t let it blind you

I honestly get sick to my stomach thinking about how happy all those leafs haters will be if they lose. We will be hearing about it all year.

I just can't wait until we trade away the best talent the leafs have ever had, at age 23, so we can go back to the no-superstars leafs I enjoyed for the first 30yrs of Fandom.

It's gonna be great!

So let me ask you a question if you have a problem festering in your life do you just leave it the same or try to change it and make it better I’ll take 23 Jason at least give a crap over a team that just doesn’t care take your rose-colored glasses off stop drinking the blue Kool-Aid I did for 40 years It’s not good for your health

Yeah can't wait to trade our 23yr old superstars and go back to being the no-star leafs.

Maybe this game 7 is our destiny and our top guys get the monkey off their back and shine tonight. It would certainly erase a lot of recent history, nothing is a choke job until an elimination game.

Hope you’re right but it still doesn’t change a lot

Start at the top and let the new management/coaching decide what to do instead of making the same old mistakes with the management/coaching we got.
"Hey, maybe if we fire the entire management and start over from scratch it will work THIS time!"

I give it 5 minutes before the "We should start picking up more veterans and build a REAL playoff team" guys who ruined the last two great Leaf teams once again reappear...

We’re not talking about Matthews we’re talking about Junior meant to pay attention to his interviews always interested in playing his PS five where he’s the best thing since sliced bread No heart no accountability he needed someone like Thorton to slap him upside his head
