What I really feel that's a slap in the face is that the Knicks will have a blue carpet celebration before their home opener vs the Bucks, but the Rangers don't get one prior to their opener vs the Canadiens.

The Rangers should have open tryouts before their opener against the Canadiens.

Half the fans would harass the players. That's why we're not having one this year.

New view from 208 row 18.
Better then I thought. The people walking on the bridge aren't a distraction so far.

Picture didn't load. Will try again later tonight

Though I didnt sit in the upper 200s....I went there pregame and it didnt seem made at all. In the middle the scoreboard blockage is more than towards the goals, but those huge screens are plenty enough. In some areas you can see the scoreboard in row 21, in some 15 is the cutoff. Again, I was always bashing them but I dont think they are that bad.

The north bridge is where all the press boxes and media are, I said hello to Steve Zipay and walked by the press boxes and took pics of emrick and sam and joe (they have glass doors you can see right in), though security is there. They actually used the same bathroom as me (blueseats 417) in the tower and doc emrick was at the urinal right next to me and asked how much my beer was.

My seats are in section 225 row 15 and I was able to see the entire scoreboard minus the Madison Square Garden part at the top. Don't know if there's a policy up there but it looked like they stopped people from walking across during the game because I saw very few people except before the game and during intermissions. Media is on our side which also helps.

For those wondering about the deep corners (like Section 208), there was no obstruction in Row 15. The bridge was a minimal distraction and 95% of the scoreboard was visible. I went up to Row 18 in 208 and the scoreboard was gone at that point. Row 14 had 100% visible scoreboard.

Bottom line is, yes, the bridges suck. Yes, they block the scoreboard. But they were not as bad as I thought and by the end of the 1st, I forgot they were even there.

LOL.
Went to my unobstructed seats in 215 and found some media desks blocking my view of a big chunk of the ice and the goal.

Called my rep who was in the building, was very accommodating, assuring me they will work this out to provide me something else, and comped us to 108 row 1, behind Montreal bench, for the game. We were not the only disgruntled season subscribers there... but those seats made up for the opening night disappointment (including poor performance by the Rangers).

Now, I am waiting to hear what they have to offer me... too bad I went ahead and sold a bunch of games on Stuhbub and to friends & craigslisters, worrying how I am able to make up for those. Should hear back from the rep within 1-2 days, can't wait to hear what unobstructed seats they have available...

The virtual seating view and actual photo below, "somewhat" different from expected
