Am I allowed to play devil's advocate here.

If Dubas were still here and he made this exact trade, I think you see more reaction regarding:
-More picks out the door once again
-A retread (let's not forget, a Dubas fault was staying loyal to what he knows/knew, whether it was Soo or his Calder Marlies)

There's also the excitement of the now vs. hindsight. If this doesn't work out and we are going into next year's deadline asking where did all the picks go. Well then you can add this 3rd and 6th to the Rittich/Hutton/Nash etc etc etc that have all happened recently.

I'm not against this trade, it seems a bit steep, but based on circumstances, it absolutely makes sense. I'm just saying, it's essentially the same thing that has happened over and over again. It's just being looked at differently cause it hasn't had the opportunity to fail and because a different person made the deal. But it is the exact same deal that has been happening since the 2021 deadline (barring McCabe who had term).

Not trying to stir shit, it's just another way of looking at it.

What good are puck moving defenseman when they are on their ass come playoff time? I don't hate having 4 legitimate hitting defenseman on the ice come playoffs even if they arent Bobby Orr with the puck.

Yeah, we don't need Bobby Orr. It's good to have some element of that smooth skating, offensive D, we have some of that with Rielly especially and to a lesser extent Liljegren, but meat and potatoes guys who just hit hard, break the cycle, clear the net and shovel the puck to the forwards go a long way too.

The Tre haters are significantly more annoying than the useless Dubas haters during the time period Dubas didn't deserve any hate. And this includes hating Dubas for senseless things like his attire or glasses.

The short leash for Tre is embarrassing. Lighten up and enjoy the sport.

Isn't Fowler worse in some of those categories or do you mean expected goals against and not total?
Not that I can see.
Shots against: 75.95 > 71.91
Scoring chances against: 79.27 > 74.08
High danger chances against: 31.34 > 29.75
Expected goals against: 11.04 > 10.59
Goals against: 10.69 > 10.54

Ducks were in San Jose yesterday. Ca we even expect Lybushkin to join the team in time for tomorrows game?

As long has his Visa is in order he can certainly play for us tomorrow night. With layovers and customs its is about a 10 hour trip (5 hr flight).

Good point, but I assume the Dubas opposers will get personally offended. Just a warning

Boosh is not a good example.

Everyone loved this trade when Dubas made it and now they love it again when Tre made it.....

Ironically Zeke was the only hater and he loves Dubas.

2 points:

1. Leafs Nation would kill for it to 15 years and counting for us.

2. …… yes, but we have the Standard which makes us Yinzers 4 Life.

1993 counts as a win ... ;)
