Because Duchesne is a common name, ie. Steve.
I once heard a pbp guy call him Steve Doo-chez-nee. But yeah very common name, I instinctively put the 's' in even though I know that's not how he spells his name.

I think the projection of 60-70 points is a little high for Hall, he may hit 60 but it is a stretch.

im gonna be realistic and say 55-60....although i would not be surprised at all if he puts up 70+ playing with Hemsky, the kid has the tools to break out in a major way! The one thing that he has going against him is the risk of getting demolished by a pronger per say, hes a tough kid and plays with no regard for his safety which is great if he doesnt have to pay for it!

lol, it was a good pick imo. Not really much room to screw up though (either Seguin or Hall would have been a great pick).

Should Taylor Hall go back to Windsor?

Any chance this kid gets sent back to the OHL?

He's struggling right now, not getting a ton of ice-time, no goals and is a minus 4.

Is it possible?

Change the headline of the topic. You make it sound that he will go back to juniors while you merely ask if he should.

No chance. Change the title, it's misleading.

What does Taylor have to accomplish in the OHL? Back to back memorial cup MVP's isn't enough? What does it do for his developement? Hall has actually been pretty good in all the games so far this season, he's snake bit.

He has nothing more to learn in Windsor. I think Edmonton will let the kid play out of his slump. Hes getting his chances but just not capitalizing right now. Duchene went through the same thing last year and the other rookie on the Avs (O'Reilly etc) were outplaying him (adding even more pressure). At the end of the year he'll outscore both Eberle and MPS IMO.

I posted this in another thread, but will post it again here:

Post after post I see nothing but praise for 2008 1st overall pick Steven Stamkos, and it's deserved, he's a great player. I also see tonnes posts with people quite negative about 2010 1st overall pick Taylor Hall. These people, IMO, expect WAY too much out of an 18 year old rookie. How short are your memories? Here's how Stamkos' career started:

First 7 games: 0 points, -3
First 17 games: 2g, 1a, -8
First 40 games: 4g, 9a, -11

I can almost guarantee that many of the people currently downtalking Hall are the same ones who were calling Stamkos a bust 40 games into his career. Rookies take time to develop, I don't see how anyone can watch Hall and not see the massive potential, he's got incredible raw tools, like all 18 year old rookies he's just not a finished product.
