He's doing all this despite only averaging 13:42 of ice time.
This may be deceiving since he has been on the #1 PP unit with Hartikainen and Omark. As long as he stays on that PP the points will come in abundance.

Another Russian prospect that was saved because of NOT being a great prospect at 16-17.
Currently only those Russians who are not noticed by scouts at 16-17 have any chance of becoming elite players.

He's a beauty. I'm beyond excited for him to make the transition to North America.
kirill hit 30 points this season with a goal & A today. very positive.
Do you think his game would transfer to the NHL, or would he be better off with another year in the KHL? Speed and strength are usually the biggest factors, but if he doesn't play a decent two way game it could be a problem too.

He has one year left in the 2015 khl contract. We need to beat the KHL salary with ELC in 2018 summer. Not optimistic.
Can someone please put in context for me how Kaprizov's 19 year old season stacks up against other stud young Russian players at the same age in previous years? 30 points as a 19 year old seems impressive to me but how does it compare to Kuznetsov, Tarasenko, Malkin or others?
Yep, not that Kaprizov couldn't contribute in 2017-18, but let him play another season in KHL and the Wild should be very happy with the player that comes over for 2018-19.I'm guessing he will get more TOI next year, allowing him to work on his stamina. As much as Wild fans are impatient for the next Gaborik, it makes more sense to let him develop on another team's dime. If he has a good year next year also, hopefully he'll hit the ground running in the NHL and won't have to spend much time in the AHL.
Kaprizov doesn't avoid contact, but 50 of his PIM are from two game misconducts vs Magnitka. One was called checking from behind and another spearing. You can judge those majors for yourself.Even more impressive than his points are his penalty minutes. Except for some lunatic called Ryspayev - 7gp 0g 0a 83 PIM - KK is already way ahead in PIM for u20's and there is plenty of season left! Sure he isn't part Canadian?
