What do you mean? Salavat Yulayev is a team that gets a lot of media attention, and Kaprizov has been closely watched since the last year.

The games are illegal streams size of a postmark. u20 national team games get only some of the games broadcasted.

Last HD games I ve seen were the u20 4-nations this summer. Guaranteed that nobody accidentally sees his games outside Russia.

Yeah, there are eight alone on laola1, so NA-based Wild fans can certainly watch him outside of highlight reels .. pointless in the first five below and then points in the remaining three.

Error 131. Works like Russian charm.

I love how the idea of paying for a legal khl subscription to watch any game of your prospect at any time isn't even considered.

say awhile back there was a thread kaprizov vs rubtsov. (i couldn't find it) i was wondering if anyone still thinks rubtsov is as good as kaprizov?

It's not like either is a finished item. Hard to be mad with KK in the 7th round, but Rubstov has plenty of developing still to be done.

It's hard to argue, that Kaprizov was a better player at the same age, as Rubtsov now. And I doubt Rubtsov will be as good as Kaprizov now in a year. But how it's going to be, when both will become mature players? It's hard to say.

Agreed. Looks like Rubstov will be bigger, maybe more of a two way player. In other words, if he doesn't make it as a top 6 player he'll still probably get a job as a bottom sixer, whereas if KK doesn't make it in the top 6(although on the Wild the third line can sometimes be their best one)he might not be much good as a fourth liner, and be better off overseas.

It would be nice for both Sokolov and KK to make the Wild, so they can speak Russian to each other. Otherwise they'll have to hope that one of the Finns knows a bit. Worst case scenario, we'll get Dumba on the case.
He's already got some Swedish, and the guy will talk to a post.

Too early to say. Rubtsov is the kind of player who might take a little while to get going.

Smaller stocky guys like Kaprizov often bloom early.

Its only $2 CAD to watch an HD stream from your phone or PC through paypal which is safe and easy. Have done it a dozen times.

So does he own the title of 'best prospect outside of North America', or is there someone in the SEL that I'm not thinking of?

The Best prospect outside of North America would be Nikita Gusev for me. But Kaprizov would be Top 3 or 5 (not including goalies). I am still very high on Nichushkin and I also like Oskar Lindblom quite a bit.
There are probably some other prospects I am missing.

Kaprizov is doing what Lindblom is doing, but at a younger age and more difficult league

When Gusev was 18, he scored a goal in 18 games in the KHL. When he was 19, he scored 3 points in 15 games.

Nichuskin isn't a prospect either.

I don't think there is anyone out there now who has done or is doing what Kaprizov is doing. The only thing that worries me is that it seems like there isn't any special trait about him, but his scoring over this sample is becoming too large to deny.

For whatever reason I forgot that Nichushkin isn't a prospect anymore.

If we are comparing what everyone has done at the same age than you and Dr Jan Itorare are right. Gusev is debatable, it depends on the point of view. At the moment the best prospect (not in NA) is Gusev, if you take age into consideration than it would be Kaprizov.

I hope I can make my point and you understand what I am trying to say. English isn't one of my (many) strengths;-) :-)

It's just crazy, he's scored 18 points in his last 13 KHL games, and has already scored more points (25 points in 28 games) than Tarasenko at the same age. He's right now on a pace for the best 19 yo KHL season ever amongst all Russian players. And he's 16th in scoring in the whole league and 1st for U23 players.

He's doing all this despite only averaging 13:42 of ice time.

what i really like is at his age & size , in his 2nd khl full season he keeps improving. thats rare imo. kaprizov wont be under the extreme pressure of being the #1 pick like yakupov if / when he plays in the nhl. no prospect comes with a guarantee but this young gun is as good as it gets.
