If Järventie can keep this level and has good training camp
i wouldn't be surprised to see Järventie getting some games in NHL this season.
Agreed - he had a good season as a 19 year old in the AHL. People forget he was one of the youngest players drafted in 2020 Too.

I’d like to see him have a more consistent effort night in and out, and I’d also like to see more offensive consistency in the AHL before he becomes a full time NHLer.

Without a doubt an underrated prospect League wide.

Look at Roope Hintz and Jarventie progression.

Only diff is Roope has nuts drive vs Jarventie. Hell of a talent and skillset Jarventie has, though.
Yep.
And other difference is that Hintz is more center than winger.
But Järventie has surprised me in these U20 WJC's and absolutely positive way.

Now he seems to understand his talent and that how good he can be.
It's funny how often peoples forget that when player is drafted to NHL
he has lots of time to develop and become better what player has been in draft age.

But honestly Hintz didn’t have even close to that intensity as a 19 year old. He has very much developed physically but also with his intensity from those days. Seems that Järventie is right now on a similar development path. Hopefully he will continue his development in a similar way for a couple of years at least. Could be a surprisingly good player at some point if this happens.

To be fair, 2 even strength points and 7 PP points. 5on5 he's still pretty good, but now more of a PP specialist.

night and day from last tourny to this one (yea, hes older i get that). Looks like the coaching staff in Belleville is doing a great job developing him.
I wouldn't call Järventie yet a steal for 2020 NHL draft.
But someday in the future all NHL teams will ask how this young man dropped to 2nd round
It truly looks now that Belleville Senators is doing great job with Roby's development.

But only time knows how good Järventie will be 5 years from now.
Maybe Senators management should at least thank Mikko Ruutu for scouting Järventie to Senators prospect.

Hot damn, Roby absolutely launching piss missiles from his (Norris-esk) office near the faceoff dot. That shot is THE REASON we drafted him.

Definitely a big improvement over last years tournament that's for sure.

If he keeps this up, Sens fans will forget all about not drafting JJ-Peterka

He's been displaying that disgusting shot throughout the AHL last year.

Belleville has a chance to run Ridly, Roby, Egor, Zac, Tyler and Phillipe in thier top 9 next season. Could find some interesting chemistry with those prospects.

I haven´t check the stats but isn´t that the issue with the whole Team Finland right now? They don´t score that much 5vs5.

Jarventie seems like a player that does a few offensive things really well, especially his shot. But he's farther than most from being a complete hockey player and has a ton to work on.

If he becomes a complete player, he can be a solid NHL scorer. If not, I could see him become a long time European League scorer.

Low floor, reasonably high ceiling, a real wild card.

Boom Boom Jarventie has made his limited minutes count, per TOI he has the most points this tournament. A “disengaged” player won’t have those numbers, as I have seen some posters describing him as. He reminds me of Dany Heatley, in that he looks lazy at times but what I really see is him giving himself the best position to score, giving his line mates options. Finland’s made it this far despite poor defence, goaltending, and penalty killing. They are winning based on their powerplays, where Jarventie is the king with that bomb of a shot. He is having an excellent tournament.

Not physically NHL ready, he can stand to gain some weight and time is very much on his side to develop into a PP2 scoring option for the Sens in the future.

Both JJ Peterka and Järventie have yet to carve out a solid NHL career.

You already talk about missing out on Peterka and possibly an Alfredsson like hockey career from Järventie due to a prospects tournament.

Järventie probably still needs like 2-3 full seasons in AHL before making NHL. Guy has been pretty good, but too much of a PP specialist. I think he has the potential to be pretty good NHL player, but a lot of development left.

Needs to work on his lungs and hard. Add both agility and skating to that as well.
Many players in this years roster are a bit similar in that, i'm having Räty and perhaps even Simontaival(even if he's been more than decent) in my mind.
