Why Ottawa Senators should call up Roby Järventie in the middle of playoff hunt?
What that special skill and quality is what Järventie brings and what Senators do not have already.
You're absolutely delusional and totally out of lunch if you seriously post that shit.

Järventie hasn't proved by any way to being ready to getting his debut to NHL.
You already suggested that Jukka Jalonen should take Järventie to IIHF worlds this year
just because Järventie is Tampere native and IIHF worlds are in Tampere and Riga.

Get some brains and sens and WAKE UP to reality before you come post / troll that shit any further.
Seems a bit aggressive

Roby Boom Boom Jarventie is scoring at key times since he came back from injuries and moved to centre. I was always hopeful that he has the size and speed to complement his NHL quality shot. He is a natural goal scorer and with some growth in other areas of the game has good chance of being a productive NHLer.

Ottawa is not really in the hunt since both their regular goalies went down.

Sorry, I think you are being a bit harsh. I don't think 12 goals in 14 games is trolling but a legitimate question as to whether or not Jarventie will see some NHL action. Currently, the BSens are in deep hunt to secure a playoff spot and Roby is a key contributor, so we may not see him in the NHL this season as long as either of Belleville or Ottawa is in the playoff hunt.

You're being way too harsh here.

Jarventie is a boom / bust prospect. I've only seen him at World Jr's. Great shot, offensively skilled, but completely lacked an all-round game. If he can round out his game, he could be a decent 2nd line scorer. If he doesn't, he'll be playing in the European leagues in a few years. Won't ever be bottom 6 or a checking player.

Roby has been turning some serious heads recently.

Last year, towards the end of the year, he moved to C and didn't miss a step from his great tear to end the year.

As a 20 year old, he had 30 points in 40 games while transitioning to C and getting his coach's praise.

Also, a year removed from a brutal showing in WJC, he was among Finland's most prolific players and their most dangerous scoring threat.

Thus far he has 3 goals 4 points in 5 pre-season games.

A lot of Sens fans feel he will spend at least 1 more year in the AHL but some are getting excited at his possible potential. He's had a very similar trajectory to Roope Hintz in Dallas (thus far).

So easy to forget who this guy is, but he's got some huge sleeper/homerun potential behind him. Seems to have exploded figuratively and literally over the last 8 months.

Production aside, he's now listed at 6'3 and 215lbs. Hes officially a very big boy now. And he looks every bit of it in the sense that he's very good at being long out there and able to use his body to shield the puck.

As RKL mentioned above, all things considered, he was just a baby in the AHL last season. And he has been openly called a long term/super raw prospect by Sens management since day 1. They new there were more ready players available early in that 2020 2nd round. But he had some huge boom potential, which is what they gambled on.

But if he keeps tracking the way he does, and somehow he, Greig, and Kleven (along with Stutzle and Sanderson) all emerge as solid NHLers, this could be an all time great kinda draft for Ottawa.

Wow, that 2020 draft is looking very good for Ottawa. Also got Sokolov and Meriläinen in addition to the players you mentioned. Incredible.

How has he looked so far in the senators? Interesting prospect, I think Roby certainly has a high ceiling as a shoot-first power winger,

I didn’t see the entire game last night (vs Toronto) but he looked good to me. He started on the 4th line but then seemed to get some shifts with Tarasenko. Jarventie definitely had some chemistry with Tarasenko!
