Woo!! That's awesome.

Hopefully he spends some time off the ice hanging out with Connor McDavid in between games, future linemates for the next 15 years :yo:

Would be cool if Oilers got the 2nd pick on saturday lottery, Laine would pretty much know which team he will play for in the future. :yo:

i really don't care when he gets picked. i just want him to play really good 82 games + playoffs maybe? and score ****loads of goals o,o
in the other hand, it would be really cool to have 1st overall pick from Fin. the culmination of our renewed youth program o,o

I would be ecstatic. You Finns would have to make your way to Russia to go watch McDavid play in the WHC :). He will blow your mind how good he is.

Laine skipped the entire Tappara championship celebration party (that is probably still ongoing). He left before the party basically started after the game, saying he just wants a pizza and to go to bed, and didn't join them for day 2 either. This is because the Finnish coach called him and said he wants him in the WHC team. That is incredibly mature, I for sure would not skip those parties when the whole town is going crazy because of you.

His playmaking is almost as good as goal scoring in FEL and WJC. Creates scoring chances every game, nifty passes and game openin passes. Yes it is good, watch replay of few games. For ten "wow" passes around 1-2 get burried. In the final game, he offered 2 open onetimer chances and one breakaway for kuusela for example, but those didin't get capitalized. Story of most plays he makes, and its normal, but then again non-goal plays usually dont get into highlights and people have no idea about his playmaking without watching the full games.

His playmaking, passing and vision is very good and underrated also in my opinion. He would definitely make a career even without his wicked shot

Yeah, he easily has the size and skill to be a big body who can hold players off to create more passing lanes, and drag bodies towards him. His shot is what will make him a star, but he has good vision. Alot of the time, you just want him to shoot (similar to Ovi), he can get his shot through traffic, and the amount of shots on net he got this year was arguably more impressive than his actual goal total. The guys shot is elite. He seems to of mastered the Ovi one timer. If he can somehow master Ovi's other golden move (shooting with defenders backing of on him when coming down the wing and using them as screeners by shooting by them and often through their legs) he can become one of the top scorers in the league, if not the heir to Ovi's throne.

A troo hockey-savant. Who needs a life when you got hoki :handclap:

Nonsense. He is not going bald. He just has a high forehead.

That's it: a high forehead.

Picture from 2013 apparently. Was he balding at 14-15? This hairline aggression will not stand, man.

Canadian Defender Nick Plastino is high on this kid. Is he counted as homer, too? Or is it just when you get to see Laine play actually, he really stands out as possible BPA.

That's what Tappara and Laine said...gotta keep the image clean for young hockey players.
Jalonen said "Laine hasn't have time to call him back yet" to Yle day or two ago.
Lights out boozing theory:popcorn:.

I heard on the radio today that Jalonen spoke with Laine yesterday, Laine was at Ikea.
Jalonen said Laine and 3 others from the final are on the list from which the team will be chosen on Sunday, was asked and then specifically said that nobody has been selected yet.

If that's the case, then he may not be selected after all - however, I think the media pressure on Jalonen now is such that he has no choice but to select Laine.

Definitely Laine was not drinking. It is not in Fashion anymore, anyway. Now its more swag not to drink very often actually.

He knows he has unique chance to become a superstar. Not spending time on partying. He can party at summers when he reaches the absolute top.

My buddy told me he saw Laine having a pizza in the downtown about midnight time. Maybe he ate pizza all night long and passed out there.

I find it kinda weird too to not participate the partying and booze stuff. But he really doesn't seem like a guy who would go out there and drink non-stop. He knows he has responsibilities (awaiting in Russia). The White Death vol2, go do your job.:yo:
