Yeah. I doubt that Pulju even realize when the blue pill is offered, no worries.

Pate is like a high elf warlock, when Pulju is like a Orc front line hulk considering mental sets and personalities.

Pulju would have rather had a slice of pizza :]

I get odds 6 on him scoring another hattrick in this nhl season, odds 8 for a gordie howe hattrick, surely jets wont let him fight

Jets dont want him to fight that's for sure but Laine himself made comments that he is going to fight sooner than later.

Again, that's not what he said. Either you have some kind of deficiency preventing you from understanding simple language, or you intentionally twist all the interviews and statements there is about Laine.

Here's what he said:

Joskus se tappelu tulee täällä eteen, mutta ei varmaan ihan vielä, Laine sanoi.

Translation: At some point I'm going to have to face it and fight, but probably not yet.

http://www.iltalehti.fi/nhl/2016101722472376_nh.shtml

The context and connotation was that Laine does NOT expect to have to fight anytime soon and he's not going to be actively looking for fights.

kunekune just likes to misinterpret everything Laine has ever said or what someone has said about Laine.

... I thought you were a native Finnish-speaker? Either you aren't or you're twisting it for your own purposes.

To me it sounds like he's expecting a fight soon. "Ei varmaan ihan vielä" is not something you say if you don't expect a fight anytime soon. Directly "Maybe not just yet" is much more accurate than whatever you translated it as, which makes it sound like he's confidently saying he's not expecting to fight until much later.

That's exactly what he's saying. He's not expecting to fight anytime soon. There's no way that can be interpreted differently.

Taking in to account the context in which that sentence arises, it's crystal clear that Laine is not expecting to be facing a fight anytime soon. I hope some other Finns come here and give their insight on the interview. Cause I feel like I'm taking crazy pills now. Two native Finns seeing 100% different interpretation than I am.

I interpret it the same way you do.

Thirded.

It would be idiotic for the team management to encourage such kind behavior as Laine is not that easily expendable asset. Also, I think there are no much glory if someone goes after 18yo boy who can play some hockey. I'm more concerned about Patrik himself as it is already seen he doesn't hesitate to go defend his teammates. I doubt that he would manage well if fight occurs - regardless of outcome.

On the other hand Patrik is probably very well protected by his teammates.

It was not that far from his 1st Gordie Howe hattrick already in his 2nd hattrick game.

Yes, he says that: Fight is coming up in some point, but probably not just yet. And then he also says that fighting is others job.

You're right. 100%.
I've never been to school in Finland and still understand it correctly.

the game against avs was one of laines (and the teams) less good games. So many faulty passes but laines still got an nice crossbar but couldnt really get the momentum going. Even Scheifele was not looking good yesterday. He did not even get a shot on goal despite numerous PP's, im assuming coach has told him to play less selflessly atleast seems like it. i think this tight schedule is having its toll aswell.

And you post an interview link.

If you really think I get my information from some ****** magazine like ILTALEHTI - I really don't know what to tell you.

There is so much more REAL information that doesn't get into ILTALEHTI.

OMG what a guy you are :D

edit: This is thread is FULL of missinformation because guys like TAnnala takes those interviews Laine does on point. Do you know how much he messes with them and just gives an answer - not that it has anything to do with real world.

i don't get my information from iltalehti.

How hard it is to understand.

:d

Care to share the comment on where he expects to fight soon then? We're still waiting on your Lemieux=Laine comments from the numerous professionals so I'm not holding my breath with this one either.

But if you have some other information, maybe share it here and back up your words. Doesn't matter anyways, cause that's the exact interview you were referring to and as always, misquoted it.

I was last time willing to give you V. Nieminen phonenumber so you call him and ask what he said about Laine in the tv-show as for some reason you were not willing to watch it.

I am in same whatsapp group as Laine, I have played hockey in same team as Barkov, I am from Tampere and the hockey circles aren't that big here.

I am not best friends with Pate but I've met him several times. Been on ice same time with him.

If you really think ILTALEHTI outscores the whatsapp groups and the people who are 'really close' to him as even they give out a lot information that you are not going to find from ILTALEHTI.

Hmmm You can live in your fairytale.

All right. So it's just something you have heard personally and can't confirm it. But it has nothing to do with the interview where Laine said that he expects to face a fight but not soon?

Yeah dude, you sound like a very reliable source.

Sorry, but I'll take the words from Laine he said publicly in an interview with Pekka Jalonen over kunekune and his "inner-circle secrets". I have no way of confirming what Laine might or might have not said in some whats app groups. So, unless you come forward and provide the sources, I'm calling BS on your stuff.

Edit. And what the hell are you talking about V. Nieminen? Maybe I've missed something you have posted to me, but your name dropping couldn't be more embarrassing. I have phone number for Kari Jalonen, does that give me authority over the guy who has a phone number for V. Nieminen?

I read it like you did,
He doesn't want to fight, isn't looking for fights, but just says that in this league, at some point, it might be unavoidable.

And who would want their top goal scorer to break a finger or something in a stupid fight :shakehead

Roussel wanted to fight Laine, ended up fighting Buff instead, and that's how it should go

If your only contract to Laine is games from viaplay and interviews from Iltalehti. I forgive you for not knowing anything.

I mean if I only had those 'sources' I wouldn't either know anything.

But I know I wouldn't be yelling **** here that I read from Iltalehti - and claim that I know everything - Like you do.

Unless you provide the comments, everyone here will think you just got caught lying, again. I'm not saying it's impossible that you have Laine's comments on fighting in your whatsapp groups. But it's just a tad too convenient when you clearly use similar wording Laine did in an public interview but with misleading way. Then you suddenly have the comments in some all-Tampere hockey whatsapp group but can't confirm them. So we're now left with two choice.

1. A guy who's been caught before for intentionally misinterpreting quotes on this site, did not misinterpret the only public quote on the matter, but instead has a personal contact with the "correct quote" but can't confirm it.

2. A person who has a track record of intentionally mis-quoting did in fact, once again mis-quote.

I'll eat my crow when you prove that you were talking about some inner WhatsApp circles and not the only public interview on the matter.
