To people who are saying MDC was doing good because of Laughton, please just stop. MDC played half the season with Cole Cassels and look in the playoffs when he is playing Cassels. MDC has 16 points in 8 games and Cassels has 13 points in 8 games. Whereas Laughton has 7 points in 6 games. I know he missed 2 games but MDC clearly carries the Generals.

He's at 2PPG currently in the playoffs and his team has moved on to the Conf Finals with him 4th in league scoring with 1,2,and 3 less games. Doesn't that count as second half?

At a closer look, January was really his only down month. Off the top of my head, people weren't impressed with him around WJC time.

meh...the ten points in four games against a very brutal mississauga team aren't impressive to me.

i think he has a lot to prove in this round of the playoffs.

Interesting take considering he has scored points in 8/8 playoff games and had a hand in 6/13 goals scored in the PBO series, which was low scoring.

I think the guys overseas have more to prove than him to be honest. Good discussion to have though. All the top guns have shown some warts this time of year, except for Ehlers and Dal Colle IMO.

i am curious to see what he can do against the next opponent.

Cassels and MDC have some really awesome chemistry together. I agree that MDC is the superior player, but they both feed off each other and set each other up. Cassels is a damn good passer, even if you just watch some of MDC's highlights you can see that many of his goals are set up by Cassels.

Agree completely...It annoys me when people say he is doing good because he is playing with this player.

Draft Profile #4: Michael Dal Colle

Michael Dal Colle Played on Oshawa’s top line, and produced 48 points in 63 games on a deep Generals squad last season. In the summer he won gold at the Ivan Hlinka tournament. his year Dal Colle and the Generals have been a huge story as they are finished first in the OHL’s Eastern Conference, and followed that up with a four game sweep of the Mississauga Steelheads in the first round. The Generals are favorites to make it out of the OHL’s Eastern Conference and Dal Colle is a huge reason why with 39 goals and 95 points in 67 games for the club. He’s added five goals and 10 points in Oshawa’s four playoff games.

You can read an interview that LWOS did with Michael Dal Colle here.

2 goals tonight and a -1 in a 5-3 loss. first one was a beauty. hit the crossbar twice and missed a wide open net from the side boards on the same pp in the first.

down 3-0 in the series.

Is Dal Colle actually a Centre?

I believe it was this season that he was moved to center. Not sure that's where he'll settle as a pro because finishers like him tend to be wingers, but he's shown to be quite capable of playing the position. I'd say not unlike how Benn did fine as a center but is a better fit at wing now that they have Seguin in Dallas.

He hasn't played centre very much this season if at all.

He didn't play center last year either. Jenner was the center on his line last season.

This season, he was on the wing the entire year IIRC, centered by Sterk to start the year and they looked good together. Then throughout the year rotated between all three Laughton, Cassels, and Sterk.

From what i've seen, he hasn't played C in the OHL.

He had been real quiet, too bad as he came alive and they still lost.

I like seeing his resiliency after those blatant misses to come strong on that breakaway and rifle it.

north bay seems to be getting the bounces and the puck luck. the game winning goal was simply atrocious netminding.

They look wayyyy better than the Generals.

Their Defense is massive and hard to get anything going around them. Well done on the coaching, they are outplaying the high-gamble offense of the Gens with a great system.

Goodrow is capitalizing on everything ...guy had like 5 breakaways (2-3 on the PK) when I went on Sunday.

Looks like the Gens are a shadow of the team I saw against the Petes (disorganized, no breakout and easily pushed around)

north bay outshooting the gens bigtime in the series. +45 after three games is ridiculous.

you earn your breaks and your puck luck when taking it to the opposition that way.
