Connor is the biggest snub of all US camp invites, really don't understand it. Did he start playing like garbage after getting rookie of the month or something?

You would have to ask a Michigan fan who watches him more but 16 points in 13 games as a rookie and last I checked he was elevated to the top line last weekend so I sense he is trending well? From what I have seen in my viewings this year he is having a really solid rookie season?

As a big time team Canada fan, my reaction to the news of USA snubbing Connor (who I believe is an elite level talent and who would have been a star in this tourney):

Maybe it's Michigan. Cooper Marody has also been a strong freshman and he got snubbed.

I still don't get why he was snubbed. Bracco and Garland I get. Roslovic, I find it a bit weird. But okay. But Connor I find completely baffling.

He's doing really well in NCAA, won gold in U18 doing well, and this is his final year to play WJCs.

My pet theory is roster spots were decided by an intensity and truculence themed spelling bee.

He's the best player in recent memory to choose USHL over NTDP. Was there some drama related to that decision?

Hoping that this lights a fire and that he spends the next 10 years proving how stupid this decision was.

Doubt it, he was at the u-18 Wjc this spring. Also I haven't heard that before, you have a source for that. Boeser turned down the U18 WJC to stay in the USHL playoffs, so I doubt it mattered. Just think it was a strange decision, I think it was a mistake, but then again I'm not making a living scouting kids.

Seems like maybe they're straying away from one dimensional players. Connors pretty much all offense, albeit a pretty good offensive player.

Connor was not at the u-18 WJC this past spring. He was there the year before. Also, Boeser was never invited to play in this past year's U-18 WJC so he never turned it down to play USHL playoffs. That NTDP that won gold last spring didn't need to bring any forwards in that weren't in the NTDP as they had so much fire power up front.

Connor is a late 96 and was ineligible for U18 in the spring.

If Usa wins gold, no amount of FUs matter.

That being said Connor deserves to be on that team.

Yup.

2014/15 (MICH) - Dylan Larkin - 1.34 pts / game (0.43 goals / game)
2015/16 (MICH) - Kyle Connor - 1.43 pts / game (0.64 goals / game)

Just wondering since I don't follow NCAA hockey too closely but won't it get tougher later in the year when they start conference play or is it not like College basketball and Football in that way?

Connor had a 3g 1a game last night against Minnesota, a Big Ten conference rival. They've had a mix of games including a some against some strong eastern teams, and now have completed 3 games in the conference. Connor has 4 goals and 3 assists in the 3 conference games.
