He has 4 goals in 25 games... That wouldn't even crack 14 goals in an 82 game year, and that's if he doesn't slow down (which he will) like Monahan did last year. Flames players and the whole team are infamous for their hot start but **** poor rest of the season.

And I think it's pretty insane to compare Drouin to him, when Drouin >>>..> Gaudreau.

I love everything about this post.

Attacks Gaudreau for only having 4 goals this season, says Drouin is beyond comparison because he is so much better (to save anyone the trouble Drouin has 1 NHL goal atm).

Says Gaudreau will likely slow down (based on every single season and every league and every tournament Gaudreau has played in he always starts slow and finishes really well)

And Calgary is infamous for hot starts  (Do I really need to explain Iginla and the team every year he was here?)

Welcome to hf, you'll fit right in

Should be banned for most incorrect information possible. So much laugh and wrong here I shake my head at people who know nothing about hockey.

Yeah. So, a hater just open up a new account just to troll this thread.

Seriously, I have been following Drouin since midget AAA and at the beginning of the year thought Drouin would destroy the competition this year, but everyone has to adapt to the NHL. You can't hate Gaudreau for being a revelation when Drouin is not even scratching the surface of his potential. Drouin is the real deal, but when the time will come. Until then, Gaudreau is playing real great hockey and shows he can be a force. Since when scoring the most goals in a rookie season was so important? Kid plays the perfect 200 feet game and rarely makes mistakes. For a rookie, the most important is not to perform offensively, but to be responsible and force the coaching staff to make them play often. Gaudreau's defensive play with his stick lifting and takeaways is unreal for a rookie and player his size.

Using your logic, Drouin would have 4 goals in 82 games this year and thats supposed to support the logic Drouin is better? But of course thats only if he doesn't slow down right? Maybe he will finish with 2 goals in 82 games! I find it amusing how you are too afraid to use your main account and feel you need a new account to justify your "opinion" heh.

TB fans don't misunderstand, I think Drouin will be good, but the logic Milos is using is pretty amusing if I apply it to the player he is using as another comparable.

Gotta wait and see what happens this season first. But it's looking likely that he could be in Top 10 or Top 5 if there was a re-draft.

I'd rank the forwards from that draft as such if I were redrafting.

Gaudreau
Landeskog
RNH
Kucherov
Saad
Palat
Strome
Huberdeau

I'd have a hard time putting 9 players ahead of Gaudreau. Even 4 would be tough.

I think the vast majority of GM's would still take the bolded players over JG. A number would grab Scheifele and/or Couterier over him as well. I can't see a single GM passing on Hamilton or Brodin for him.

Gaudreau makes the Avs defenseman look silly as he gets another assist on Wideman's goal using his speed.

Wasn't a good pass at all, but a nice deke to get past the defenders and nice by Wideman.

Gaudreau with 17 points in his last 17 games? With a period and a half to play.

Not bad for a 40 point powerplay specialist who can't do this against NHL defenseman.

Fine, it was a Gretzky like pass. Good lord Calgary fans.
