We should wait to hear his side of the story before we judge him. I have had people wrong me, treat me poorly and think that I was too young to notice. I will choose to think that they (Nash) did something like that to him and that he just bided his time to get even.
So just for the fun of it are we to assume his numbers this year as a 18 year in his draft year in the NCAA?
With that being said mid 1st round probably.

If you maintain that he is 22 years old and they can draft him at that age probably the 3rd round.
Even at his current age he probably goes first round because more is known about him... And I think that's what the question was.
Current age and third round is absolutely laughable.
Yeah, I asked where Vesey would hypothetically go in the draft merely to get a feel for what proverbial free "bonus pick" Boston, Toronto or any other team would be getting - top 10, a mid first, late first, etc. I realize it's kind of unfair to compare a 22 year old to a 17 or 18 year old kid from the CHL. Anyway, thanks for the responses.
On a side note, I've lurked on this website for years (mostly the Bruins board)and finally posted. This site and Sons of Sam Horn are daily must reads for me. Great website fellas!
I don't see how Vesey would be picked after #20 or so as the odds a pick after #15 or so even plays 100 NHL games is around 50%. Not to mention the team picking him gets a player who can contribute immediately.
I feel you. I think vesey is slightly overrated due to him scoring high NCAA numbers but he only did so as an upperclassman. Most college players will score around a point per game or slightly higher as upperclassmen and never really crack the NHL. Vesey is noticeably over a point per game so I would expect him to be middle 6 but, again, he could only dominate the ncaa when he was one of the older players. Guys like Eichel, Gaudreau, Connor, Boeser, and Gostisbehere have shown the ability to put up big numbers as underclassmen showing that they could develop into much better hockey players.
I think if you look at him as an average middle 6 guy, you're looking at a pick from 10-20. Top 10 you want a top 6 but you'll get middle 6 a lot of the time and won't be disappointed. You just don't draft for a guy to be in your middle 6 when you have a high draft pick.
unless nashville gets compensation
this is f 'up
i see nhl teams more and more passing on kids that take college route
with stunts like these
i think that nhl teamsthis has to change
What? There are about 50 TOTAL players at a point per game in the country...Most college players will score around a point per game or slightly higher as upperclassmen
i've heard this before, yet college players are making up a greater share of NHL players than ever.
