The amount of strength needed to combat that stick lift and still get off that goal is pretty ridiculous in my opinion. This kid is powerful.

I wouldn’t say “ridiculous,” but definitely impressive and another example of this kid being aware and just knowing how to score. Scorers score.

Let’s go! I was hoping the Devils would take him so Rossi would fall to us but the kid is exactly what they need so it made sense. Hughes-Holtz will be a handful and Hischier could develop into one of the best defensive centers in the game. Hopefully they snag that future 1D this year in the draft. Things are looking up in NJ.

Crazy that he's able to constantly beat goalies from range in the pro game. Going back 5 years, I guess only Laine and Matthews likely have better shots?

Ive seen lots of Raymond hype of late but...what's up with Holtz hype?? where has it gone to?
Considering, Holtz has had better start to the 20-21 SHL season what Raymond.

He is almost ppg this season, yes its only 8 games, but nevertheless.
-leading goal scorer and second in points of his team

Holtz > Raymond for me, still

Oh...he hasn't played in a while...

7 of his team mates have tested positive for Corona, so Djurgårdens games have been pushed to a later date.

The Swedish U20 team will face Finlands U20 team in 3 games between 5th and 7th of November, thats the next appearance of both Holtz and Raymond.

The underlying numbers seem to favor Raymond. He’s been ”unlucky” while Holtz has been ”lucky”, just in terms of things like sh%, on-ice sh% etc.
Both are great prospects though.

Will try to catch some Djurgården games when they start playing again to get more insight into Holtz overall game though.

Hadn't played in a couple of weeks but has played two games since the layoff. He has one assist in the two contests but 10 shots on goal. Hopefully he continues to shoot at such a torrid clip

Assist on gwg goal late in the third. Had six shots too. He's actually been very unlucky in the goal scoring department. Nice to see him still producing despite that

Definitely interesting to see how well Holtz is producing right now. And not to compare him or anything, but he has 11 in 14 while Raymond appears to have 12 in 19. I definitely thought that Raymond would be outproducing Holtz this year, but right now it doesn't seem so. Is there any particular reason for this that I might not be aware of. It seems as well that Raymond is on a far better team than Holtz is as well, so I would not have expected Holtz to be performing this well. How are Raymond's linemates in comparison to Holtz's, as it seems like he has been playing well with fellow 18-year-old William Eklund. And Holtz's shooting luck has been pretty bad lately. I feel like for all of his past four games he has either been like robbed or rang one of the pipes, but he is still shooting the puck at a high volume which is good to see. The goals will come for him.

Holtz has been averaging a few more minutes per game. He has been a monster though.

Having watched nearly all of Frölunda's game I would kill for Raymond to have a linemate like Eklund. Neither Mursak or Hjalmarsson have much offensive IQ to speak of.
Don't think there's any team-factor either, Djurgården is as good as Frölunda offensively, and both young forwards have about the same shooting%, Raymond has also been snakebit lately.

Not much seperating the two right now imo.

I think Holtz is a bit better at playing against men. He's put up better stats in SHL this year and last. When playing against their peers it's much closer.
