.High accountability.

LR will make Kane check somebody in thecd-zone?
LR will ensure Toews is not watching his check go free as hevhiffsxand puffs back into tge d-zone?
LR will giaranree Mr. -34 does not dobtgat again?
Will he make them Highly accountable?
Now take tge Hard work.....Fine IF it is sustained full 60...butcasxwe know luckyvto get a full 10 out ofvtge Hawks.. LR will guarantee a more consistent intensity and urgency?
High performance....does this mean we actually score on our PPs? Kill off our PK's more efficiently? And do you not need to get pucks out ofvthecd-zone a lot morecto ensure tgat High Performance is not observed from the opposition ratger than intermittent occasional highperformance by the Blackhawks?
Good luck with these new standards Luke....you sure are goibg to need luck to turn the mess of Low performance.. Low work ethic and Low accountability we have witnessed with the woeful Blackhawks into distant memories.

When they first brought up King as interim coach I think they said the plan would be for him to return to Rockford.
But Sorensen outperforming King might have thrown a wrench in that plan.

I think Sorensen deserves a shot at being the official Head Coach. The difference was night and day

I don't think there's any doubt Sorenson is going to be the HC in Rockford going forward. The Athletic said King is being given time to mull his options and that if Richardson wants to add him to his staff, he's welcome to accept.
Again, I know everyone hates King but he does have a good temperament for what's going to be happening here over the next 4-5 years. Maybe an assistant role would be a good spot for him.

I see no similarity between the 2 except that each played 1,400 games. Their coaching career paths have been vastly different.
IMO, an odd comparison to make.

TBH Im not even so sure. King was a worse AHL coach and Colliton had a worse team on paper finish higher the year before.
This was a season where news of a player getting sexually assaulted dominated the entire offseason and carried into the entire regular season. Wouldnt be shocked if the entire team besides Kane and Toews (sadly) were completely out of it given the news. The bad start was unavoidable no matter who was behind the bench imo.

always got the vibe from JC that he was a weird guy...his first game he won as hc the players gifted him the belt or puck iirc and he was kinda like they didnt need to do that, this is whats expected or some other strange answer

-When LuRich debuted in the NHL, it was in Chicago. Edzo was his roommate and showed him around the city.
-LuRich likes players with size, speed, and skill. Tells a great story about Chris Wideman, an undersize defenseman who was up and down between ECHL and AHL. Noticed he lacked physical gifts but he had the heart so he kept working with him and tailoring video sessions for a guy like him. Now he's in the NHL. Says that not every guy has the perfect blend of attributes so you gotta get the best out of where they excel and put them in a place within the system where they can succeed.
