Yeah, but it's also not just that 3rd period, or just this game, or just this road trip, or just this month. They're lucky to be where they are in the standings. They're still living off that 6-0 home record at the start of the season, and they didn't even play that well in those 6 games.

All you can do is wait with this team, because they've earned that. That doesn't change that they haven't looked good with any consistency this season though.

They played terrible for long stretches in both the 2012 and 2014 Cup seasons.

I'm not thrilled about it either, but I'm not going to beat myself up about it and say I'm going to take a couple of weeks off. You got to be a fan through thick and thin. And it really isn't that bad, Jesus H. Christ this team is STILL in a playoff spot, even after this loss.

i don't get all the complaints

they did play well in Montreal, they were shaking at first but battled back in TO, and they played 2 strong periods vs STL but that damn 5 on 3 killed everything

it's not like everything is hopeless, they actually are playing well despite all the circumstances

after the home game vs STL

they have 6 games vs their own division... followed by another 7 straight games a home ... i think we'll be able to judge them fairly after those 6 games... but LA would still have another chance at climbing up the ranks during their 7 game homestand

i'm still not angry or panicking ... not just yet

And yeah, gotta agree with the poster who said the jerseys probably jinxed it.

Remember when the Kings were Kings of the Road during the 2012 playoffs? Good times.

Lombardi likes to walk the "shop floor" and he has done that in recent days, taking in six games with the Kings' American Hockey League affiliate in Manchester, N.H., and holding meetings with his developmental staff.

Lombardi also indicated he was not close to making a trade, even a minor one.

It has rarely been his style to make a trade for the sake of making one or when the Kings have not been in a position of strength.

I love this team, through thick and thin. It wasn't fun to see the Blues score 3 goals in 2:32 tonight in the third period, but that is just the way it goes sometimes.

Let's go get them on Thursday. I will be there, should be hell of a good time!
