Many here were critical last year at the lack of movement at the deadline. I think the Knights are as good as anyone in this league, have the best coach, top D and solid golatending. I am happier with their play lately and happy with the moves or lack thereof that have been made.

I agree wholeheartedly...People are just wanting to make moves for the sake of making moves to make themselves feel better. Lots of what has been suggested have been sideways moves and do not make the team much better, especially at mortgaging the future. We have been lucky here in London that we get this ride for a Ship year in and out...not to far down the 402 and 401's most fans get this thrill once every 3 or 4 years....some never!

Can't forget that London already traded for Michael Simpson earlier to fill a big hole.

Not all moves need to be made at the inflated deadline.

For all the moves Saginaw made, they didn't really address their goaltending need. Lennox is a bit of a wildcard

Does anyone know where that comp pick for Moore will fall? Or how that is decided?
If it ends up being the front of the round, doesn't hurt much at all. Dropped 5 spots and delayed a year, but also picked up a 5th rounder.
Typically these comp. picks are one spot back but I believe London missed the deadline for that. Hense why its a second rounder. The part that baffles me is that its only a 5th round pick. Typically these trades come with a slew of conditional picks if the player decides to report. Although the chances are slim, if Barrie can somehow convince him to show up, this will look extremely bad on London.

Not sure. Typically it would be the pick after where the player was picked. If this is one round later, then it should be the pick after the London 2nd round pick last year? London used their own 2nd round pick last year at 38 and picked Medvedev, so maybe the 39th pick? Just spitballing here...

I think this marks the end of an era with the Knights being able to attract big time players from the US. For every Tkachuk, Jones, Stranges etc there is a Tkachuk, Werenski, Moore, Nazar, Vlasic etc.

The college program is getting too good that I think it actually has surpassed the Knights program. But I do trust our scouts!
And with the USA perennial gold medal WJHC contenders is proving to American kids that the NCAA programs are on par if not better than in some CHL centre's.

Idk if it's so much about the programs as it is the ability to sign endorsement deals while in the NCAA
In the OHL atm you can't that will hopefully change in the next few season to make the CHL more attractive to US players again

Totally agree. Some posters want to treat the Knights like they are playing EA Sports and trade a player if they go pointless for 3 games.

I wonder why most posters aren't GMs in the OHL because they talk on here like they know everything.

Hunter decided to stand pat and let every other team mortgage their future for a shot. Only 1 team can win so a lot will be regretting their decision.

Wow. Sting mortgaged their future last season, and this is the result. This Sting team is going to have a tough time winning 10 more games the rest of the year. Sting fans are in for a rough ride the next few seasons. Especially with Letang as the coach.

Hope they figure it out and make the playoffs
