What a massive waste should been declared defective ffs

I'm sick of watching the knights punt first-round pick 🤮
Does this mean we get another 1st in next years draft? If no then we EFFED UP

We get a COMP 2nd round pick plus this 5th so not the end of the world for a late 1st rounder that was a high reward guy.

Why didn’t we trade him for Jelsma?

Maybe Barrie wants to hang on to Jelsma, or he wants to remain there perhaps?

London knows he's not coming back and took a pick for him. You think a USNDT member is going to come back to the OHL for Barrie?? LOL. They are a notch above Niagara. If he's not coming for London or Kitchener he's not coming
I'm pretty sure Barrie was looking to the future on this trade. At no time did they think he would report this year...not sure why you did .

I don't know how you got fixated on Lawrence being brought in for his faceoff prowess. He had a 46.7% winning percentage last season and is only at 50% this season.

If your hypothesis is correct, and he is somehow much better at faceoffs in the last 3 minutes of a game, that means he's even worse the rest of the game (that's how percentages work). How would you explain that? He doesn't care to try on faceoffs the rest of the game? Saving his strength for crunch time?

McCue and Barkey both are regulars on this team that play on the PK already and have better faceoff percentages than Lawrence and are the same handedness. Crunch time faceoffs go to them. Right handed faceoffs are a bit of an issue but even O'Rielly has a better faceoff percentage than Lawrence.

Listen. I don't have anything against acquiring Kaleb Lawrence for the price that Mark Hunter did. He should be a nice complimentary piece in the bottom six to create space for players like Nicholl and Van Gorp, but he should not be displacing anyone in the top 6--or playing centre on this team. He's very much a straight-line, physical player who would be a good trigger man for more skilled players, like Haltunnen with Barkey and Cowan (hence the Nicholl and Van Gorp suggestion).
Perhaps it is not me as so much as the management, I have not seen him play much or scouted him, I am more putting my faith in Mark Hunter and his scouts, they are the ones that brought him to this team. After following and watching London Knights, it was fairly easy to come to the conclusion they were in desperate need of an important face-offs centre. I just went by their needs and by faith in management

I am going to take a wild guess for this year after season playoffs if everything stays as it is

I view Kitchener as it's stand at this moment as the team to beat in the O's London and Soo are very close tied for second and third teams to beat, Saginaw fourth, Sudbury, Kingston, Oshawa, Owen Sound, and North Bay, Ottawa in that order, I don't know what happened to Guelph and why they traded some key players. Saginaw may have the most balanced team in the league, but they sure are not going in with the best goal tending team. Kitchener are strong everywhere at all position so is London and Soo, but Kitchener have had an act to up their game at playoffs time the last two years, and this year they are Fielding an even better team, they are going to be tough to beat.

London has the best team system and can win it all if all players stick to game plan, stay focus and not being bothered by opposition trying to move them off their game. This is my guess and my opinion, it is not carved in stone

I think this marks the end of an era with the Knights being able to attract big time players from the US. For every Tkachuk, Jones, Stranges etc there is a Tkachuk, Werenski, Moore, Nazar, Vlasic etc.

The college program is getting too good that I think it actually has surpassed the Knights program. But I do trust our scouts!

Usa development has taken off. Times change.

Going forward, i wonder if will we see London take a more traditional approach to buying and selling.

Good things are still happening - finding Woolley late, signing Van Gorp, finding Julien in U18, etc.

Perpetual contention is the primary focus but that may get harder in the future.

I am not too sure why everyone is itching their jock straps so much for a trade. Everyone cried last year when nothing huge was done and we ended up in the finals. We have a very solid lineup that has the potential to make just as good of a run as last year. Our young players are all getting better by the game, we have a goalie who can steal a game or two and if their is no injuries a very good top 6 D core.

Let's have some faith in what we have in front of us, it s going to be a fun ride!
Many here were critical last year at the lack of movement at the deadline. I think the Knights are as good as anyone in this league, have the best coach, top D and solid golatending. I am happier with their play lately and happy with the moves or lack thereof that have been made.
