The Devil's Advocate in Person
If he's the go-to face-offs man, he will not be on the third line, that is why the went out and got him forno harm for sure. I’d be careful on Lawrence, at 20 he probably is what he is, good 3rd line guy

Are you 100% sure Mark is done?Knights are done dealing. Disappointing really. The rest of the division and conference foes bolstered their teams while we sat back twiddling our thumbs. IMO this was a go for it year, not next. Well, at least we landed a 0.5ppg guy that skates like molasses and wins the occasional faceoff. Yippee! The other benefit is that I won't have to pay for playoff tickets past the 2nd round this year.
Ya sure, and I am guessing you've watched him play several timesWhy would he be the go to face-off guy when he's about the 5th best face-off percentage on the team?

Meh, once Beck and Hayes went off the board, it didn’t make sense to overpay for decent players that aren’t gamebreakers.Knights are done dealing. Disappointing really. Then trade Eddie and George for an 07 ++Meh, once Beck and Hayes went off the board, it didn’t make sense to overpay for decent players that aren’t gamebreakers.
Next year you potentially have Barkey, Cowan, Julien, Sim, O’Reilly, Nicholl, Arrowsmith. On defence, Bonk, Dickinson, Woolley, Henry, Fagan, Leonard. G, Medvedev, Wilson. It’s a decent start to a competitive team. Hopefully more of a buyer’s market next year so deadline additions make sense.
That’s really all I meant was that his value will be better than most think. He’s been written off by some, but I think the value he brings will be seen come playoffs on the 3rd line against the other teams big line.no harm for sure. I’d be careful on Lawrence, at 20 he probably is what he is, good 3rd line guy
My biggest concern regarding the acquisition of Lawrence is his footspeed ( or lack thereof ). The Knights have been constructed as a speed-oriented team. Why, with his size he can stand in the circle and reach the blue line and the corner of the zone without movingMy biggest concern regarding the acquisition of Lawrence is his footspeed ( or lack thereof ). The Knights have been constructed as a speed-oriented team. It's their signature game plan.
Now, how does Kaleb fit into this scenario ?? Can he keep up with speedier linemates, or will his assigned role become the designated trailer ? He does have one valuable attribute that can't be taught, and that is SIZE. Hopefully he'll take advantage of that in a well disciplined but intimidating way. Maybe Sawyer Boulton can become a sort of reverse mentor showing him how NOT to go about that .
Anyone have the stats for his faceoffs? I could only find his wins not %. With going by his wins he averages 6.73 wins per game (202 wins ÷ 30 games played) which is really not much to write home about. If he was doing this on the 3rd line likley taking 10-15 draws a game it's not bad but hard to know since I could only find the number of FW.If he's the go-to face-offs man, he will not be on the third line, that is why the went out and got him for
What does seeing a player play have anything to do with their stats. Faceoff stats are just stats. The poster was commenting on how is a player with the 5th best faceoff percentage on a team be called on to be a go to guy for face offs.Ya sure, and I am guessing you've watched him play several times.

Yeah, this sounds accurate regarding Lawrence. Going by memory.Kaleb Lawrence is a great kid .
Big guys don't skate like the wind.
He's got a tremendous reach , he's incredibly strong . He takes penalties mostly because of physics.
I'm sure he benefited by playing for Cameron in Ottawa.
I wish the Attack never traded him . Degray granted his request to finish his career at-home .
He's got a calm demeanor, but the few times I saw him riled, he became a beast .
He will be a nice complementary player.
Looking forward to the Knights next visit to the Bayshore McCue vs McCue . And Kalebs return .
Perhaps, if you really pay attention to the game, you'll get your answer in about 40 or 50 years from nowWhat does seeing a player play have anything to do with their stats. No, don't move any out, they are still very much in game to go far. Look at Saginaw they have depth but weak in net, both Lalonde and Oke shows under 0.900 save%, that is not a good way to enter playoffs series. Soo are well balance but so are the Knights, Kitchener is the team to beat in playoffs. Kitchener finds ways to up their plays in playoffs, they knocked us off two years agao and knocked out Windsor last year, if they can up their game again this year, watch out!Come on Mark. get us an 04 D and 04 F
Or move Edward and George and get an 07. Pick a lane
Move them for what 07 Not much left unfortunatelyCome on Mark. get us an 04 D and 04 F

Ian Blacker?I am trying to find the OHL ruling, where it's stated if a player retires or quit the team because of injuries before the trade deadline, his team can replace his carded contract with a new player and still only count as one signed card, it must be before the trade deadline. I remember the Knights going through this when they got a player by the name Black, (from Kitchener I do believe) the Knights had lost a player to a season ending injury, they weren't sure the injury was reported to the league in time, as it turned out it was and the trade for Black was permitted. I do believe it was in the 80s, can't remember the exact year. If this rule still applies today, they would have 29 signed cards. Subtracting the games during the world junior tournament, Woolley and Van Gorp would still be under the B cards, teams can not have more than 30 signed cards past deadline

Nope, I’ve heard we are done, unless someone calls and gives us a gift of a great deal last minute.3 1/2 more hour before the store close, I am suggesting if the Knights has one more get, it will likely be an 04 defender with a right-hand shot
