Agreed Johnston has not shown me anything I would miss, but not too sure his value is there at this point either being an 05. Guys like Arrowsmith, Van Bommell etc can easily fill his shoes.
He should be moved for opportunity for him

Melee is around a point per game. Where as Nicholl has a high rev motor, physical and good on forecheck.

Interesting....

Man, I wish we could have taken a shot as Pasquale Zito. I forget the story on him, I know he had a concussion and now he may just be sitting out by choice but he would look good if he where to come back and play for the Knights.

Sounds like he was Windsor or nothing.

I think Nicholl has far more to give, if given the opportunity. He is just doing what is asked of him at this point to maintain his ice time. I think going into next year you will see his production ramp up when he is given more of a shot to succeed offensively.

Actually I don’t think he is reporting to Windsor as well. Damn. EDIT: I’m wrong and you’re right. He’s heading to Windsor right now.

I kinda like wanna see Mark pull something out of left field like he always does!

Almost anything, at this point, could turn out to be subtraction by addition. I honestly can't identify any player remaining, who might become a significant contributor, as opposed to simply a warm body depth fill-in. Aggressive trading isn't necessary, when that type of player can be had for free off the waiver wire.

Brantford just moved Donovan to Saginaw for a bunch of picks, I am wondering if they'd release Noah Van Vliet? He'd be cheaper to get 2 or three picks and would be a good depth defender for London. Perhaps I am dreaming, but it would be an ideal dream to have
They also brought in Sobolev. I don't think they are tearing down. Its more like they got a great offer for Donovan and they are in the east so they filled his spot with a servicable replacement and keep on keeping on.

Well, a dream is a dream, isn't it, therein't much out there to get, hardly anyone is selling

I respect keeping the long-term health of the franchise a priority. I think it’s generally bad business to get involved in these markup deals in a seller’s market.

But I’d be lying if I said a part of me didn’t miss the days of coming home to reading about London trading for Dennis, Girardi and Fritsche. Then Tavares and Del Zotto a few years later. Those were exciting times.
