Respectfully, I'm inclined to disagree with this premise. If an experienced GM agrees to a trade, this automatically sets the value that every other GM in the league has to honour and adhere to ? What if that GM is a rookie and has proven toward making questionable trades ? I have great difficulty in accepting such an assertion. Most GM's in this league do not allow other GM's to speak for them, or establish how they value players.
for what its worth, he went for more then the initial trade that fell through.

all the first trade did was established value, the gm (windsor) now can call everyone and say 'i had this done for this player, do you want to match it'. it looked like they had a few teams willing, so windsor was able to leverage that into a higher price.

no one HAS to honour it, but its a measuring stick for future conversations.

We may not have any more card(s) to fill.

We're fine with what we have, could have used another 04 defender with playoffs experience, but we do have some young bodies that are eager to pick up that experience as well. Depth can never have too much of, last season Brochu got hurt and our inexperience behind him could not hold the fort, hopefully this year if we lose one senior D our young ones can successfully replace him or them if more than one.

Melee makes a lot of sense for London get him for this year and then next as a OA. Would guess Petes would ask for Woolley and picks back. Would that be of interest to London? Or would they move Nicholl for for him
NO! you don't trade Woolley he is going to be one of the top d man next year I'd trade Nicholl and some other players before Woolley

I love the Kaleb Lawrence pick up he wasn't brought here to score necessarily but he's a big body who can create room out there for cowan and barkey ect he will be great at the cycle it with McCue down low plus he can chuck them too.

how is seee the line-up

Cowan, O'Reilly Barkey
Gaz, Julien, Halttunen
Lawrence, McCue, Sim
Ryder, Van G, Nicholl
Depth - Johnston, Van B,S.Boulton

Dickinson,George
Bonk, Edward
Leonard, Woolley
Depth Bruz

Man your third line wouldn't be pleasant to play against.
I may be wrong but isn't there a max number of games Van Gorp and Woolley can appear in?

I would expect for protection the big man to be up between Cowan and Halttunen and Barkey to move back on Julien and Gazizov line. O'Reilly will likely centre the third line and Nicholl the fourth.

I’d still say we need one big move to compete with Kitchener and Saginaw. I see them as the major threats. Soo is also good. In the East North Bay should also be good. Seems like a lot of good teams! We are good too, but if we aren’t trying to win the championship this year then trade away George and Edward.

Sudbury also quite good

I feel like we should swing for the fences and do an O’Reilly + trade for Lardis (doubt Brantford wants to though)

Jelsma could be a good addition if the price is right

What about Karabela ?

It's obvious if healthy EMac would have been captain.
That being said who gets named captain now or do they go with just 3 A in honor of Ethan?

I think Dicky could be a good captain

how much do you want to bet that your done?
Lol, us Knights fans can still dream while it’s possible. That said, this team is in great shape and the addition of Lawrence flies under the radar given the big trades that have happened but I think this deal will pay big dividends. (Pun intended).

no harm for sure. I’d be careful on Lawrence, at 20 he probably is what he is, good 3rd line guy
