Anyone else notice Van Bommel is no longer wearing full cage? Cowan could be back after this weekend seems Fraser Minten has taken a step infront of Cowan

I think Cowan back will make a big difference to your team. It didn't seem like you had many puck transporters out there; Halttunen and ....?

The dump and chase with the 2-1-2 forecheck wasn't really working and it seemed like nobody on London was able to get a clean zone entry for much of the game.

you realize that you contribute to that just as everyone else does right?
There's criticism and then there is obsession.

I stay away from here now because of the verbal attacks and derogatory comments toward me

The posse won...join the parade. I used to thrive on being the dark side here...now it's just easier to laugh and walk away

Both teams offense and defense almost negated each other creating very few opportunities for both clubs last night, goes to show how on parr both clubs are this early in the season

It seems that the Soo have gelled earlier than the Knights. I’m not saying the Knigjhts will be better than the Soo, cuz the Greyhounds WILL be a force. But the Knights are shaking off rust and still building on ice chemistry. I wanna see the matchup in London to evaluate the two teams.

I am going to look forward to watching all 4 games they play, but the last one in the second last week of the season might be the most anticipated of them all.
Would depend where both teams sit in the standings at that point and if they are sitting comfortably where they are at or jockeying for position, it is not uncommon to see Hunter rest alot of the better players towards the end of the season

The February 16th game might be a better measuring tool, everyone will be playing (baring injuries/suspensions) and all trades will have been made by then, our Dec 10th game (next one against LDN) will be fun though.

Willmore played well, but I thought the Hunters would have viewed this as a must win
Must win 3 games into the season??? Not even close, the Hunters view the performance of their teams in 10 game stretches. So 10,20,30 game mark is where the gauges are. This also dose not mean trades need to be made like you always want.... there is also Card management that needs to be done

The 8 points in 4 meetings against the Soo are always important, no matter when the game is.

I know that Barkey and Halttunnen will get going once Cowan is back.

Btw Peanut is a top 6 forward.

I swear I thought the Hunters could just buy extra cards or that Branch allows them 5 more than the other 19 teams :)

Both are older and Cowan will need to grow into is roll on the team. I still believe he has the possibility to be an important player for the Leafs who can play anywhere in the line up (top 6, bottom 6, PK, PP) Zack Hymen??? This year his developement will continue in the OHL, but everyday he is at Leaf camp will pay dividends down the road in London

Agreed his puck pursuit combined with his offensive touch makes him a solid player up or down the lineup. However the Leafs roster this season and perhaps next is pretty set. He will be part of it sooner or later .....

No doubt about that. All that matters is he is developing towards becoming a full time NHL player. That’s what it’s all about

I think that the Knights are EXTREMELY solid at defense and in Goal like all of you obviously would know but they definitely need a couple power forwards that can be like Diaco and McGurn were. Until then the knights will have alot of close 3-2 type of games in my opinion for whatever that's worth.
